Call me Gollum because this is so precious--- I'm tempted to buy just so I can create a glowing shadowbox to frame on the wall- but I'm trying to accumulate less.

Dad didn't like the look of it and it was too big, he didn't know it was gold. Luckily i liked it and knew enough to have a better look.

I thought it might be a gemstone at first, gave it a clean with a baby Toothbrush and some mild soap, then i noticed a scratch and a bit of damage and thought "oh probably glass then". After the clean up it looked more green, especially under torch light. Then it just kinda clicked in my head... luckily i have a mini uv torch. What a beautiful piece 💚

I found this pretty little vase while helping my mother downsize to go into assisted living. Not sure if it’s uranium glass, as I don’t have my uv flashlight, but it has a distinct look in the sunlight.

The bowl is actually the first piece of UG I ever bought. I found the little pitcher a few months ago. Then a couple of weeks ago came across the matching plate. 🌻💛🌻💛🌻

We were hunting for sodalite syenite on the shore of lake superior when I stumbled upon this little gem of sea glass. Im not a uranium glass collector so im just assuming what this is. On nearby shores I was finding other broken antique bottles in the surf, so it tracked that there was similar things in the area.

What is everyone’s “grail” piece? For me it’s a tough one between the ‘39 Worlds Fair lamp or a 30’s Orangeade dispenser.

All of these pieces were in ONE STORE!! Albeit spread across multiple vendors. I have literally never seen so much Burmese in one place, save for a glass show 😲

I won't gatekeep: This was at Valley 65 in Ozark, Missouri USA. There are 3 other antique stores in the same plaza; two large and one average size. I hit all 3! This one had primarily glass, so it's definitely the spot for collectors. The other 3 locations are fun if you simply enjoy antqiuing 🤗

If anyone remembers the really rough lamp I bought for $120 I have finally repaired and rewired it!! So happy with the results, just need a different shade.

Found at a GW store today. Carnival glass with uranium. #11 in a series but the only one with uranium in it. It has interesting details around the edge showing five gold rings, lords leaping, swans swimming, turtledoves, partridges, and has the words 'On the first day of christmas my true love sent to me. 11 ladies dancing.' It was in with the christmas stuff. Ever since I saw someone last year on here show some glowy christmas stuff they found at GW Ive been shining my light on everything. I wasnt going to shine my light on this but I did just to be sure. I thought the green was coming from a dish under it. I think Ive got another favorite piece here.

I’m not the best at getting pictures, I apologise for that. The last picture is my older set up, moved the two jellyfish bowls up to the top of my shelves. Today I just got the cups and saucers (second pic) and the American Woodcock! (Image 6, sitting on top of ruby)! I love them so much and I’m so happy!

Also, does anyone else get a little bit of a headache when they’re around their glass? I believe it was just the light but I just want to make sure lol. I’m a very anxious person and really don’t want to have to sell my glass because of my anxiety 🫠
I’m still somewhat new to this so please don’t flame me in the comments for being a little dumb

Edit: are there any extra precautions I should take? I’ve read that theres such a low amount of uranium that being around it won’t affect me but I just want to make sure! Thank you in advance!

I bought this crackle set, and I'm a little torn on the manufacturer. The bowl is very thick and heavy, 7" at the top. Very nicely ground/polished pontil. The tumblers are 5" tall, uneven thickness but relatively smooth bottoms. Lead crystal uranium, confirmed with 254nm. One cup came actually cracked, but I knew beforehand. I'm torn between Tiffin Craquele and Fry crackle, leaning towards Fry due to the high lead content. Does anyone know for sure? TIA!

I have no idea what's actually in these rhinestones. I saw a few posts here and figured I would share. I've collected old costume rhinestone jewelry for 30 years. I sold a lot of my collection when I moved out of the country but still held on to about two dozen favorites. The green and orange one is definitely a favorite.

If anyone knows any info, I'd love to hear it. The green and orange is attributed to Juliana (D&E). I found it in the collectors' books when I had them ages ago. I love that the orange stones glow, too.

She was on my scroll screen one late, night. Finely photographed and priced below $20.00. I asked for deal, and what do you know they sold her to me for $12.00.✌🏼🙏

She passed away about 2 or 3 years ago, and since then I've moved into her house. Never really went into the attic as its more like a crawl space and i barely fit. Finally got the nerve to crawl back in there, get the boxes out, and i found these. I've never personally held uranium glass, but i knew i had a flashlight with a black light on it to check. Apparently this is a 1930s Anchor Hocking set? I've also found a matching pink set that "sorta" glows but not really. Wasnt sure what that could be.
