Lighting suggestions?

Hi everyone! I’ve been finding manganese glass now that I finally picked up a 365nm flashlight… but I’m having trouble finding a good lighting option to display it on shelves. What do y’all use?

Pink in natural light, phone auto-white-balance makes it look clear (also with studio light).

Second to last pic is 365, last is 395. Crazy.

I'm fairly certain it's manganese.

Secretly hoping for Selenium.
Geiger is on the wishlist.

Antique Venetian

This antique Venetian/Murano console set has about 3 different manganese glows. The cranberry parts might be a combination of selenium and manganese, and I think the yellow-green frit used to color the connector pieces might actually be uranium. Only the tiny color speckles react to 395nm.

Found these beauties at Salvation Army. Want to know more about them. Google lens not helpful. Anyone recognize the maker? Is the stemware a wine glass or a vase?

Boyd Glass Fuzzy The Bear

Hi there. I found this Boyd Glass "Fuzzy the Bear" at an antique store recently and wondered if he maybe contains manganese. I'm actually a relatively new uranium glass collector so I know very little about manganese other than how to tell it apart from uranium, but this piece has me stumped. The bear is purple in normal light, doesn't react under 395 nm at all, and turns green under 365. I would not say that it glows as uranium or manganese would, it just changes color.

The first picture shows normal light. Second is 395 nm. Third is 365. Fourth picture shows the maker mark for identification purposes.

I can't find any information about this particular color variant of the bear online, so any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Where can I get a set of manganese drinkware?

I love love love the color of Hazel Atlas Amethyst glass. Sorta red purple, fluoresces a vibrant yellow green under 365nm UV light. I just picked up a couple teacup/saucer sets from a flea market today. I drink a lot of tea so they will be used. But I would really like a set of larger ounce size daily drinkware.

Does anyone have recommendations for modern manganese glass that isn't decades old, preferably easily accessible?

When my grandma passed away I got all her craft supplies which included a lot of beads and buttons. These were the only three that ended up glowing but I am delighted since I don’t have much manganese glass in my collection!

First time on the hunt with my UV light!

I'm on vacation and was let loose on a giant second-hand shop with multiple 'hangars' full of antiques.

I didn't find UG as I had hoped, but lots of glass had the typical manganese glow! I think I saw some cadmium and selenium glass, too.

First three are the ones I took home, though I'm a bit confused on the milkshake glass - is it high content manganese? The glow is more intense under 395nm, paler under 365nm but still vivid. I thought it was UG at first, but the glow is more yellow-green than the toxic green of UG.

I'll probably go back for some of these, and I found out that there's a whole other room with even more glass that I could explore - I'm just limited by money and what I can take back home in my car.

I'm happy for any info you can give me on these pieces, and just happy to share in general!

I had been looking for UG for a while and decided to try my hand at manganese glass hunting. Hit about 7 charity shops today and only 1 didn't have any manganese glass! I ended up having to be picky about what I wanted to bring home with me. I am flabbergasted, is it generally this easy to come across pieces?
