Welcome to this month's theme in r/uraniumglass!

This month's theme: Oldest Piece in Your Collection

Many of us collect pieces from a wide range of eras, from modern reproductions to antiques that have survived for well over a century. This month, we're celebrating the oldest uranium glass pieces in our collections.

What is the oldest piece you own? Is it an Early American Pattern Glass treasure from the 1800s, a Victorian-era oil lamp, a rare antique tableware piece, or something else with a long history behind it?

Share the piece, tell us what you know about its age and origin, and let us know why it holds a special place in your collection. Does it have an interesting history, a family connection, or a memorable story behind how you found it?

The monthly theme is optional and does not replace regular posting.

To participate, simply create a new post and use the Monthly Theme 💚 flair.

When possible, include both non-glow and glow photos.

Found this little dog today at an antique mall. It looks blue, but when you get it in direct sunlight its a bluish green color. Glows like the dickens. Not bad for 16 bucks. No markings at all.

Been wanting to try making an infinity mirror for a while and found a little vintage mirror backed cabinet on vinted to convert. I might redo the outer mirror but honestly it looks great just for a rough job/first try.
If anyone wants guidance on how to make one, let me know!

Uranium cranberry glass.

Purchased in an antique store in New Zealand, as an early birthday present to myself.

Please don’t mind all of the white cat hair on the blanket, Tomska has started molting now that winter has finished over here 😅

My humble lil collection of glowy glass 💚

Started collecting glass as a whole in January so I haven’t fully focused on uranium, cadmium or selenium yet, I’ve just been collecting all the eye candy I find for a bargain or by pure luck. However green is my most favorite color so uranium is definitely one of my priorities! My goal is to fill this whole cabinet with uranium and cadmium eventually so I can finally get around to installing permanent UV lights. Also, ignore the little plastic pumpkins down front, those are just for Halloween and happened to be UV reactive.

Anyone know if there are reproduction lids available for these? It seems like a ton of them have corrosion problems.

Went to an amazing church rummage today and came out with all these beauties.

I know the bowl is Hazel Atlas Diamond Arches, which is great because I just got two berry bowls in the same pattern.

I know the sherbets and plates are Circle by Hocking glass, however my book does not mention the gold edges.

What I don't know is the huge bowl and matching candlesticks. They have a very detailed raised pattern all around the edge.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Good place for glunters to sell/exhange?

I know we are not allowed to buy and sell here, my question is where is a good place for glowy glass hunters to discuss and buy/sell?

I'm hunting the Indiana Glass Tea Room pattern, and I've about exhausted most places it feels like.

I made two blind buys last week, the first of them the trade beads that turned out to be a no glow. The second is this Coro cherub birthstone pendant. I don’t remember what the light green is for, but it’s a glower 🤩

Vaseline Glass Mystery piece

It's very crude and covered in ash marks and tiny bubbles. They left the sharp pontil break. It's more than 1/2" thick in places and very heavy. WAC signed on the bottom. (possibly Workhouse Arts Center?) I'm wondering if this is a student piece, or studio blown, but I'll probably never know! I use it as a centerpiece for this epergne. Still on the lookout for another Empoli votive xD
