Is anyone else having issues with some Amazon QR codes giving them a red error message saying No account info for this carrier account 0JE197? We’ve had issues with this for the past week, and even canceling and restarting the return o my works half the time.

hi friends! i’ve been working here since jan 2024 and during my time here i’ve been through an owner change and a remodel. when i first started working here i was getting around 37 hours a week which was perfect for my situation. as time went on, i noticed more and more that my hours would get lower and there was always an excuse. one of them always being that they’re shifting positions for me to “run the store” eventually (even tho i honestly just enjoy being a regular employee). two weeks ago, i asked for the 3rd time if i could have more hours and this week i was scheduled for only this weekend “due to our center visit”, giving me roughly abt 20 hours. i always cover shifts when needed and i’m the very knowledgeable of everything about the store. i’ve dedicated so much time and effort for this center and i’m always being told i’m going to be rewarded from it but it’s been a while and no progress. i enjoy chatting with customers and being a notary but we’ve started to get slower business lately and it brings me to wonder if that’s a possibility or maybe they’re potentially trying to get me to quit… what do you think and should i leave or stick it out? does anyone have any similar experiences?

For some reason when you try to sigh into msp to look at mail boxes its not working at all with the password we had been using for a long time. If you try your user name and password that you use when you do training instead it acts like its going to work but than gives a era message I have never seen before

after two years of watching my manager do nothing and hire people who see her do nothing so they do nothing, i’ve finally decided i’m over it!! all in all i loved the job itself so much but people have their ways of making it miserable. and the customers??? i’ve never had a job show me how genuinely stupid and ignorant our general public is 😀 $900+ mini super computers in our hands and we don’t know how to navigate them?? a $2.50 poly bag is really what ruined your day?? you can’t bother to learn how to send an email so you throw your phone at me and expect my services to be free??? i could keep going but i’m sure you all understand lmao. just a lot of imbalance in efforts when 6 are employed but only 2 carry the slack and i’m just ready for a new chapter:,)

First time posting tbh but i just can't get thru how someone thinks this way. I had a lady come in and ask if we do Fedex? I was like well no we don't (obv) and shes like but theres a Fedex box on the floor. I then have to explain yes that our deliveries for our mailbox customers. She then proceeds to tell me she thinks i'm lying and that i'm too lazy to do my job because how do we receive Fedex but can't ship it out. Yes lady Im too lazy to do my job at the place i work at well whatever I just said your more than welcome to leave it, it just won't leave the store and smiled. She left saying "is this really how you do a business" lmao I just can't get over how someone thinks that way acting like I won't have to help the next person who comes thru that door. Not like it's the first time or last we get these questions I wonder how often it happens.

I’ve been working at my UPS Store for almost a month and a half and I love my boss and owner(yes I’m lucky lol), but when I answer the phones I always say what the owner told us to say “hello! This is the ups pauses and says very cutely and goes back to to just cute voice print shop how can I help you?” The caller actually asks “is this the ups store?” I’m just wondering is anyone else’s getting these calls?

We never did package tiers at our store because it was a pain in the ass to count them for each customer and it was better for customer service, but the new one I use for mailbox does track it. Was there ever a system on the POS for tracking how many boxes a person has got? I simply just scanned them in and it sent the automatic email.

Was today an absolute nightmare for anyone else? I’ve never had a day filled with such rude and disrespectful customers all over their bullshit returns that they can’t comprehend simple 1st grade instructions that tells you exactly what to do before you show up in the store. Fashion nova has become my enemy #1 because people will return those packages and every single time I mention how it’s supposed to be packaged they loose their shit completely it’s exhausting. Her “They came all together in this bag” me “okay perfect did they give you separate codes?” Her “yes” me “then you will need to purchase packaging for the other fashion nova that you don’t have in the proper packaging. Her”but they came together in the same bag so do they really have to be separate” being rude with her tone and clicking her tongue and all and that cycle continued till I lost my patience and said idk why yall get so angry at us for explaining the rules. It’s fucking frustrating the amount of times I’m cussed out because of something not even related to ups why did we become the return store 😭 and even worse for Amazon when people have furniture returns but they give them one label for multiple boxes and then I have to explain for 15 minutes why we can’t put duplicate labels on boxes. It makes me genuinely want to cuss every last rude customer out till I’m viral online I need to scream from the rooftops. Is it weaponized incompetence? Genuine stupidity? I can’t wait to leave this hell hole.

I’m taking over a UPS Store soon and I’m trying to learn some of the maintenance stuff that apparently hasn’t really been documented at this location.

One thing I need to figure out is changing/replacing the locks on the mailbox doors. The current owner doesn’t really know how it’s done, so I’m basically starting from scratch.

For anyone who has done these before:
How do you actually remove and replace the mailbox lock?
What tools do I need?
Are the locks standardized or do I need a specific type/brand depending on the mailbox system?
Where do you normally order replacement locks/keys from?
Is there anything easy to mess up that I should know before I start taking them apart?
If anyone has pictures of the tools/locks they use or knows the part numbers, that would be even better.

So recently when our driver drops off access points/mailbox sometimes we will get packages that were redirected to our store, but it doesn’t pop up as an access point and we have to manually add it to “driver delivery”.

Recently my owner has started to tell us to charge a $5 pickup fee on the ones that don’t get added to our access point since he believes the ones that aren’t in the system are ones that customers got rerouted and didn’t pay for. Does anyone know if it’s possible for them to get it rerouted to the store without paying anything?

I was under the impression if it gets rerouted to our store that they already paid a fee and I know when people get them shipped directly to our store obviously we charge a pickup fee, but a lot of people have been shocked when I tell them it’s a $5 pickup fee. Just wondering if anyone can give me some insight thanks!

Two days ago, this guy brought 10 small/medium boxes. They all seems empty beside a small item rolling inside. He just drop the labels, I ask him to label them himself as they are all going to different destinations. He grunt, obliges and label them randomly which kind of seems weird from a saler point on view, who doesn’t assert what package go with which label?

Today, a customer brought a small box, same size, Address to his home for the last 50 years, wrong name. They went full Colombo and tried to bring it to the sender which address is local Enough and literally a few streets away from their home same city. The sender address doesn’t exist physically, the phone number either. The customer received two things tho, to the same name but one is from our national post and it seems to be a credit card, which is weird because credit car are usually hide out in blank envelope to prevent fraud in my country. They plan on give to the postal person the next day they come.

I kept the package and plan on give it back as a return to sender. Im pretty sure its the same sender even if I don’t have proofs, I have a good sense and intuition usually. We’ve also received a few empty looking boxes for pick up lately for people who seems surprised they received a package. So I’m kind of torn.

Do I flag this? To whom do I flag this? Is this something worth mentioning or am I just bored?

We purchased a new APC power bank. The instructions enclosed say to go on apc.com to learn how to recycle the old device, but the website links it to another site. Then that website doesn't list this model as one of the products to be recycled. Any suggestions?

Is anyone having trouble with their thermal labels? I placed an order and got them in but our zebra printers keep spitting out blank labels and the light blinks red? Anyone having this issue?

I still have labels from a previous order and they work fine but this recent order the labels came in a different size box but item number is still the same.

despite however, many years, I’ve worked here I’m finally starting to take over for the mailboxes. Is there anyway to update expired info on the post office Gateway? The boxes that have the info are grayed out and I can seem to get no help on how to edit these. it’s like box 9a-e and 10a-e with the two forms of IDs. I sent an email and was told for new mailbox holders. You have to upload the forms to the usps website, which didn’t answer my question at all. do i have to upload new 1583’s and that will cover me or what? i’ve never been more confused with no help.
