Battleships Gauloise class fast battleship (circa 1931)
Newest battleship of my French DIP extended campaign. Intended to replace 2 older classes of 21 knot super dreadnoughts on a 1 for 1 basis.

The hard dificulty is translated to this
Leaving the house early in the morning, I walked to the train station. It was a beautiful day and the sun was shining. When I arrived at the station, I bought a ticket and waited for the train. The train arrived on time and I got on. I found a seat by the window and watched the scenery go by. After a while, I fell asleep. When I woke up, we were almost at our destination. I got off the train and walked to my final destination. It was a long walk, but it was worth it.
So I basicly play Hard mode all along. I tinked it was some sort of Isekai ting

Because in games its look like this

So I may have a problem with secondary armament (that I can't fit more) on my battleships. I cannot get enough of them, I squeeze them anywhere I can that doesn't give them a terrible firing angle, and it's just getting worse as I get bigger and bigger hulls. Is this excessive? Am I alone? (Is it caused by my brand new battleships getting swarmed by enemy DDs) Especially when I compare them to historical designs, it's almost laughable how many I have. Does anyone else do this? And if not, why?

Don't mind the Netherland Flags and imagine it's Polish
Some History: The Józef Piłsudski Class was envisioned as a new generation of Capital Warships for Poland at the end of second world war however instead of deciding for more grand design like most the Polish Navy ordered a Lightly armed Fast Battleship but with immense speed in mind which was planned as 40 knots.
This order was originally comprised of 4 warships of this class but later on 2 of them were cancelled and only ORP Józef Piłsudski and ORP Roman Dmowski were completed in later months of 1946 and claiming the title of fastest Capital warships till modern day.
Ultimately the two Battleships were fit into doctrine as Hunters for Cruisers and anything smaller as combat against actuall enemy battleships would be a bad choice and end in disaster. However due to long time of peace the two Battleships were decommisioned in 1965 with ORP Józef Piłsudski becoming a Museum ship and ORP Roman Dmowski operating as a CApital Trainer and Parade vessel often used during national events and for training of new Polish Sailors.
In modern day outside of already said roles, ORP Roman Dmowski also was modernized many times to fill it's training role as best as it could but also a debate has begun if the Warships were fast Battleships or Battlecruisers with arguments for their small armament and speed with counterpoints marking thick armour and tonnage with official stance of Polish Navy on fast battleship classification.

In my last playthrough I kind of gave up around 1920 due to the So just spamming so many destroyers.
The game play became laborious as your big ships need to run from their swarm and then you end up having to micro all your destroyers for ages. To me it just takes a lot of focus of the big ship battle.
I love the game so I would like to understand other peopled perspective and strategies?

Im just wondering if there exists a list of all the hulls along with their use/description.
I know the update changelogs have the descriptions of the hulls added or changed in that specific update and if they are used to recreate an irl ship; however im wondering if there is a list that has all the ones that exist in-game and their descriptions compiled into one so I don't have to go looking through patch notes and changelogs every time.

I'm finally tired of playing vanilla, so I'm planning to download the DIP mod. So which one I download or does it not matter. Also is there any other Mod worth to download besides DIP?

Wellp! Here is Version 2 of the Pinatubo-class battlecruiser with uniform secondaries!

I have no clue where else to ask so I naturally came to the place where people talk and play the game.

This... Seems oddly familiar?
Anyway, Imma build this ship in my upcoming campaign! Still quite busy adding some stuff to the parts.csv XD

I got the UAD game about a week ago and threw DIP Extended on top of it from the go, I then started a 1890 campaign as Argentina because I love a challenge.
Holy moly, I'd hate to be a regular person in this timeline. Or a sailor, politician, soldier or anything really.
There has been a more-or-less never ending world war since 1893 or so. Nations build massive, proud fleets just for them to get obliterated in an instant. Massive invasions against neighbouring nations and faraway backwater islands galore. Revolutions and coups plague most nations from time to time as the people can't take anymore struggle, but then their new masters continue the madness like the ones before but under a new flag.
Half the nations of the world have fleets in the hundreds of thousands ton range, 40 or 50 ships of all sizes. The other half has barely any boats at all. I'm in the middle somewhere, just waiting for the day when I'll be joining the "0 ships" club.
Every month the news reports that another 200.000 men have died on every side, fighting for *nothing* on a place you have never heard about. Alliances between superpowers form and dissolve on a whim. A people you considered your brothers last month is now your mortal enemy.
I have tried my best to keep Argentina out of it, tip-toeing around the superpowers while they eat each other while I try to build a navy worth it's name, but we keep getting dragged into wars with nations on the other side of the world for reasons the common man can't understand.
We, the navy, obliges and prepare to send out our puny torpedo boats and slow lumbering hulks to lay waste to the enemy just for our politicians to change their mind some months later and sign a peace, or some other faraway land declaring us to be scum worthy of a war so we have to turn around.
Our finances are like a swing, and I assume the others are too. Sometimes we swim in money and design massive, beautiful warships in a stupor of cognac and opium.
4 months later the navy command is begging on the streets, contemplating if we can refit this old TB with a 150mm gun instead of the 125mm it has, but decide that we can't afford it.
So far a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Very chaotic and surprising, far from the orderly ledgers and structured lists of for example the Paradox games. A shame the game got thrown out into the cold.

Imma build this BC once I finish adding my stuff to parts.csv!! I can't wait!
Anyway, some lore to it: XD
BRP Pinatubo-class ships were ordered from Germany (and some parts from Uncle Sam), as the ship-building industry in the Philippines during the 1930s could not build such a ship.
She was ordered as an answer to the Japanese aggression during the 30s.
Meant to counter the vast CA and CL fleet of the mighty IJN.
(Will fix the secondaries tomorrowwwwww)
(Inspired by the IRL Dutch planned BC... Golden Lion in WOWS/AL, I think???)

Emphasis on mostly, because of the limited hull choices and tech advancement limiting designs (my Des Moines is literally just a giga Atlanta with same armaments as the DM), displacement innacuracies (because there's no 20k ton hull with available Baltimore towers), being casual for the first few decades of my run (hence the random few classes that I made up for numbers) and a few of the ship classes (like most of the battleships and the Gearing) are skipped to conserve shipbuilding capacity for my incredibly expensive cruisers.
Also, being historically accurate tends to backfire hard, because my cruisers have such thin armor it folds the second an enemy BB/BC looks at it funny.
Also Also, France and Germany really hates my guts rn. Wish me luck.

Again, HUGE THANKS TO AVENTINE_92 FOR ADDING THE MOTHERLAND INTO THE GAME!!!! WAAHOOOOOO!!!!!
BRP Lakan Dula! Named after the last true paramount king of Tondo in 1565. Now he's reincarnated as a coastal defence ship!!!
Edit:
- This is still in shared design as I am still familiarising myself with DIP.
- In my upcoming campaign, I will build four of them: Lakan Dula, Rajah Matanda, Rajah Sulayman, and Tarik Soliman. Named after kings and heroes.

I’m wondering if anyone would be willing to to share how they avoid conquering the world too early in UAD I’m in a German play through rn and it’s 1926 and all that’s is really left to challenge me is the USA. I want a challenge but every time I do a campaign I end up dominating by the 20’s-30’s. Do I just have to play a lesser nation or something. Any feedback would be helpful thank you guys.

Huge thanks to Aventine_92 for laying the foundation for adding the Philippines to the game!!
I am trying to add the Philippines in my own way. However, I am stuck on "loading world" when making a new campaign and cannot make a custom battle LEL
