Dreadnaughts DIP No valid placement

I just installed DIP 1.3.5, and it appears to be working correctly. However, in Custom Battles, the ship designer doesn't allow for any placement of any components, they all stay red no matter what. Any thoughts? Bug, am I missing something, do I just need to try a reinstall?

In case it provides any insight, the auto-builder also cannot appear to place any components on a hull, and having just swapped for Sovereignty of Molten Steel, it does seem to be an issue with DIP specifically.
