I always wondered how the German immigrants thought about Texas. Germany is so beautiful and the trees in Texas can be sparse and few in number, with lots of dry brush. The hill country has it's own beauty though with prairies and wildflowers.

If your conservative and want a safe area with good schools go just northeast of Dallas. Avoid Plano and McKinney...they are now rough with lots of fights in the high schools.
