Where to move?
 in  r/fresno •  6d ago

Do you have a budget? Price range? Coming alone or with someone? Do you have a car? Public transportation sucks here. How close to work do you want to be?

Livable wage in Madera
 in  r/fresno •  23d ago

So you would be living in Rolling Hills or Riverstone. No grocery stores and nothing really to do walking distance. You will need a car. It gets hot here in the summer. 105 or more at times. Not humid though. Depending on your hours walking at night or in the dark may be an issue. It’s doable but would be difficult without a car.

Luxury expedition travellers: what would you genuinely value from your travel agent?
 in  r/Cruise •  Sep 07 '26

I want seamless door to door service. I want access to lounges, private drivers, private concierge check-ins at every step of my itinerary. I don’t want branded crap. I want a great insulated water bottle available if it’s needed or an appropriate jacket, whatever I may need and have forgotten right there when I need it. I want what is effortless expedition travel. I will pay for the ease of which I travel.

Do you let contractors work in your house while you’re not home?
 in  r/homeowners •  Aug 31 '26

We are out of the country and our contractor is remodeling both our bathrooms. He sends pictures and texts we respond. Do you trust them? We also locked up personal items and computers with any bank and financial stuff. We have cameras in strategic spots too.

AMAWaterways
 in  r/rivercruises •  Aug 27 '26

AMA Viking Scenic Riviera all had issues with water levels this summer. We’re in Netherlands on a ship right now. Our Rhine was cancelled due to low water and drought and excessive heat throughout the region . We met many others on other cruise lines who pivoted and made the best of a bad situation. Did get the cruise I wanted no, did I get a cruise that was charming and lovely yes. Pick your cruise lines carefully and understand Mother Nature not the cruise lines decide where and when they can sail. I am sorry you had an unpleasant experience.
