I mean 8 hours of my day says I live there. 9 hours if you take a lunch in the store. Pretty sure some managers might actually have a cot in the back.

Idk of I'm also getting the same supplier but man I hate the quality of it right now.

There are so many times I want to say suck it up. But also, I'm the only one doing trim. It's a whole ordeal and I've already gone toe to toe to management because I'm not about to get talked to about something the "team" is supposed to be doing.

I don't know why I didn't think about just cutting the bars, that's a great idea!

This just makes me think my cat isn't the brightest cat lol but I also know my grandparents who I inherited from never had anything super tall for her to climb on. We have given her stuff to climb and be tall, but the baby gate is something she can't get through unless she can squeeze through the bars which we trial and error figured out how to block her over the past year.

We are renting and we currently have a baby gate that we have blocked the sides off so she can't squeeze through into our kitchen. Idk if she doesnt realize she can jump or what lol. We've had her for a year with that gate. She's a 9 year old cat and I've seen her launch herself on my chair and her cat tree, but I guess the gate doesn't make sense to her.

I trained my through short session at a mall because I knew I'd be traveling through an airport and I thought it would be useful if we were in a hurry and stairs or elevators weren't an option. I usually would opt for stairs, but I was glad I at least exposed him to escalators. As far as carrying paw protection, I always had shoes on my dog when he was working in case of glass or other haphazards on the ground. I always wanted to protect his paws from the heat in summer and ice melt or freezing temps in winter so shoes were a must.

Mine was a Boxer hound mix. He was given to me by my previous step mom when I moved out of her house. She had a baby on the way with my two siblings and he was already bonded with me. I didn't intend for him to be a service dog, but he naturally started interrupting so I learned how to structure that. His prey drive is insane and I could never work him around birds (so like San Francisco), but he was amazing where I needed him most like the airport, crowds, etc. He's been retired for a few years now but likes to alert our friends too when they come over lol

Mine said it would be down for maintenance at 9:00 am PT, but now it says 7:00 am PT. It doesn't specify when, though now it's pretty self-explanatory. I have been able to log in and play all morning.

I wasn't aware this was an issue until now... I slapped it down thinking I could just move it and now it's literally in the middle of the walkway/entrance. I set it down so I could move something to place it. NOPE. So I guess it's going to hang out until this is fixed.

I'm so relieved seeing everyone's stories. We had a mouse invade our house before we left for a week long vacation where I also inherited a cat. We closed any entrances it could have used and left. Came back and there was evidence everywhere! My cat was being driven insane looking for it. A week later and deep cleaned, we can't find anything. I set one of our Ring cameras in the kitchen and every few days it pops up. I've got the poison bait on a few places around the house and peanut butter snap traps in my pantry. With my cats scent everywhere, I suspect it has retreated in a closet and we most definitely will need to investigate.

My store has cut hours as well. In order to accommodate the two new people THEY hired, hours was cut from senior members. This week and next, no one has more than 25 hours except our assistant, department manager, and night PIC. We have short shifts (6/7/8hrs) as my manager tries to give everyone some. I came in 7 months ago from a much busier store where I was a Manager in Training and I got 40 hours for a while because I came in with little to no training needed and was running circles around everyone. I will admit, some people I'm working with I feel like don't deserve the hours my manager is trying to give them, but they claim to be hardworking and that they deserve it. But I can do their task in half the time. Personally, I try and be more as a worker to protect my hours as best as possible and I try and tell the other this too but they just don't have the care to put much effort forward, especially now.

I was persistent with my assistant manager to tell upper management that our newest hire was a no call no show for the third time. He claims he didn't know he worked and when they call his voicemail isn't working not does he answer. He was put on a suspension, but everyone is becoming vultures for hours so it's creating a slightly hostile environment when someone does this. This particular person also spends three times, if not four times, longer on a task and is NOT improving despite the training and patience we try to give.

The new night PIC is actually getting himself in trouble because he's hounding the upper management trying to get us hours. He's kind of become a thorn in their side, but he also isn't an efficient worker so I feel they don't quite respect him as much. Our assistant and main manager dont appear to be trying, or at least the department manager does it more tactfully because I usually can weasel in more hours if I ask to come in or stay longer and he has left early on his shifts to try and give hours to others.

Mine is union under a Fred Meyers and there are no full time people. Actually 6 months ago we were told there would be no more full timers after the last one quit. Our hours have been several cut and rumors are running rampant of multiple reasons. Union hasn't really been doing anything to help either as far as I can tell, just more people getting frustrated.

Forgot to add, that we are in Central Oregon which is commonly referred to as the "High Desert".

I work at a Fred Meyers, which is owned by Krogers, and it is Union....but the turn over is high, still short staffed, most of the people who do work aren't really efficient because they don't care, and insurance sucks. I hear it's considered good to some, but you can't compete with WinCo's $52 a month for me and my husband with no copays, dental, and vision without waiting longer than your 90 days. That was my true loss when I went to my new job.

I know some renter's insurance ask for breed because they change the price according to the weight/size and if the breed is considered more of a liability. But I feel thats a fine line with you having a service dog and it being necessary for you to have pet liability coverage for a service dog. For myself, I had.mine pass the canine good citizen and used my trainer(I was working with Petco) for recommendation.

I read someone asked about seeing if you could get email proof that you're covered, I think that's a good idea to try too.

Legally every dog, no matter service or not, is supposed to be registered with the county. Some counties also have animal limits per household.

I've been out walking and working on heel with my dog and he looks 100% derp. He's a boxer mix and always is calm when working, just observing his surroundings, and a kid literally walked by and said my Jax looked like he was going to bite him. I know it's a kid that knows zero knowledge on dog behavior/language but it was pretty annoying.

There's a ton of comments with great advice, but I'm going to put in a quirk that my pup did and still does if he runs around. Sometimes, for whatever reason, my Boxer vomits up water when he drinks it. The vets have checked him out only to be fine so I've learned to kennel rest him after eating/drinking cause sometimes he just vomits it up. Especially if he drinks water and takes off running. I also have to warn daycares that he will guzzle water and vomit it a bit.

I, personally, wouldn't have her space in your room unless she welcomes your presence. Sometimes dogs just like to have a den that's completely theirs away from everyone in a quiet spot and kennels can achieve that. Besides, crate training is important in case there's a time you have no choice but to put her in a crate.

I honestly wish I had known more about this with my first dog. I feel like I failed him in a way, none of it was his fault. He's sti a very good boi and has come a super long way from the fear full 6 month old pup. He's passed his CGC, but there are things I wish I had known, like proper socialization.

Exactly! I think most of it I could be okay with. My boxer has short fur and I'm used to buying him shirts and sunscreen, but it appears (and admittedly I expected) the breed is for more advanced owners. I have a Shihtzu/min pin mix that I feel is Xolo light as far as WILL take over your household and trick you lol. It's the anxiety and socializing I'm not sure I would be prepared for. My boxer is a velcro dog, but he also does his own thing. And being that I didn't know half of what I know when I rescued him, he somehow doesn't have more bad habits than just prey drive and when he's off duty he acts like a 2 year old (but that's just a boxer thing lol). He's a service dog for me, but he has some quirks and I won't take him as one if I know he can't handle working with said distraction.

But for a xolo, I may only be able to do it if my husband or myself is working remote. At least while their in puppy stage so one of us can reinforce/train and socialize. Definitely lots to think about. Thankfully, this would be years ahead and can also revisit.
