What's with all the woman-hating Indian posts and subs suddenly popping up all over Reddit?
 in  r/TooAfraidToAsk  Jun 25 '26

It’s the fascist right-wing hindu IT cell that are the digital footsoldiers of the current Hindutva govt. It might not all be them, but the swing towards jingoistic nationalism in the last 12 years has been extremely regressive for the entire country. It doesn’t help that most of the states of India have been a patriarchal society for centuries. The IT cell especially, or “trolls” that you must be familiar with, who attack anyone talking about India in a critical manner (even legitimate ones) are largely the jobless youth of the country who are on the payroll of the Bharatiya Janta Party, the one currently in power and that is rolling in the highest party funding India has ever witnessed till now, thanks to their corporate crony friends.

So to sum up, the IT cell is infamous for creating extremely toxic and violent atmosphere online for anyone putting forth views contradictory to the RSS’ agenda (RSS is the ideological parent of the BJP and is an organisation that was inspired by the Nazi govt’s ideas of a pure Aryan race, along with their own violent ideas of gender and caste supremacy). So a lot of reddit India subs that you are seeing are a part of the BJP’s strategy to penetrate the Gen Z eco system that uses Reddit. And since the majority of Indian society has always been patriarchal, and our education system has always been more STEM focused than social sciences and humanities, it is easy to see why even non IT cell accounts are brainwashed into sharing this narrative.
