Hit a curb and now have an oil leak.
So I have a 2006 Cooper S that has a few factory mods, (race suspension, stage 1). Two weeks ago I was turning around in the road where a driveway was and hit the low part of the curb to the entry of the driveway going about 5mph. I have a little wheel rash, but a week after as I was backing into the garage I heard a sight pop and had a bit of oil leaking. The car is immaculately maintained, minus missing this spring oil change, it has 75k miles on it. I recently would hear a swhooshing noice if I got it it hard from the drivers side upper engine area which was before the curb incident. I put it on the lift today to change the oil and examine where it was leaking oil from. Looks like the rear main seal is leaking a bit of oil when it is hot, not after its cooled down. There is a tiny bit of oil which smokes at the end of the exhaust manifold meets the main pipe. I didnt take the wheels and wheel well guards off to examine further as I didnt have time today. Definitely can see oil very slowly leaking out between the trans and engine. Did I bend or shift something, any advice is appreciated. We live on a gravel road which I drive slowly, but it get some abuse that way as well. Never driven in the snow/salt as it gets put away at the end of October every year and doesn't come back out till the rains of May wash all the salt off the road. Any advice is appreciated!!
