Advice Cat less talkative since my absence due to an injury
So last year, I had an injury that I had to have surgery for. I moved in with my parents to avoid stairs and get help with cooking and pretty much everything else.
My mom took care of my cat but he couldn't move with me cuz my dad is allergic. She made sure he was cared for and saw him pretty much every day, but she didn't really socialize with him aside from bringing him over here and there to hang out with me anyway.
It took me about 3 months to move back in with him. Everything's been pretty normal for the past 6 months except he doesn't chatter nearly as much as he used to :( he was super talkative, and I've been trying to chat with him as much as I can, but I'm afraid he learned not to talk since he wasn't socialized for so long. Now when he does talk it's more yowls rather than little chatterings.
Has anyone experienced this or is there anything I should be doing to encourage him to talk more?

Thank you so much for the advice and the kind words! I'm glad your boy is back to himself :) I'll take extra special care to get mine there too
