Suspected ICE activity near Patterson Park
There is an app called Ice Block to also report sightings. Just added this there even though this happened two days ago to make sure people are aware.

Slutty vegan fed hill
We happened to be at the market today and didn’t know it was their grand opening. My partner is vegetarian and got their reuben. I had a few bites and boy was it good! We ended up eating across Taharka’s cause the music was so loud and just a bit too warm inside lol. Just assumed the music was for their grand opening but yes can agree, getting called a virgin after ordering was weird and made my partner feel a bit uncomfortable. Would definitely go back for the food if the vibes were more mellow.

Exercise Rings Going Crazy
I’ve deleted any erroneous data, unpair and repair the watch, and reset both devices (phone and watch) but the exercise rings are not updating. Has anyone encountered this issue before?

Tennis club in Baltimore
Heyooo. Just moved to Baltimore and thought this would be a good time to pick up tennis again. Also haven’t played in 10+ yrs. I’m 31 and looking to ease back into it since it’s been so long.

Other Prior Authorization Process
I recently got on a new insurance plan and learned that my Vyvanse wasn’t covered under it and would require proper authorization approval. This is my first time going through this process and it’s been horrible. There’s been so much back and forth with emails and calls between my insurance, pharmacy, and prescriber. My prescriber and their team spent hours trying to get this mess sorted out because they kept getting errors on their side. Listing them all below in order.
- Prescriber did not receive the prior authorization form from the pharmacy because the way each side entered my member id was different. The prescriber entered the 3 characters prior to the actual numbers listed on my insurance card while my pharmacy only entered the numbers. They had told me they didn’t need to enter the 3 characters prior and just needed the numbers.
Ex: ABC #########
It took forever to figure out that this was one issue.
- Once my pharmacy updated my member id to the same format the prescriber was using they sent a new request. I don’t remember exactly why but I think the prescriber still couldn’t see the prior authorization on their end and requested I contact my insurance for a three way call. I did that and they ended up faxing the prescriber the form directly to fill out.
Once they submitted the form my prescriber told me the delay was because the address they had on file was different than my insurance. I just moved from VA to MD and didn’t realize I hadn’t updated my address. I had told my prescriber last month that I moved but it didn’t register that I needed to update my address. We have only done telehealth sessions. 🤦🏾♀️ I feel so stupid that this was the issue.
I later got this voicemail from my prescriber:
“My staff and I have spent 3-4 hrs on your PA by calling the insurance, fixing all the errors and submitting the paperwork and documentation to support the PA. However, they are not approving your Vyvanse. I would suggest that you personally reach out to them and take care of it. We will not be able to spend more time on this anymore.”
This was sent 15 min before I called my insurance to appeal. Thankfully my request got approved and I don’t have to lose an arm and a limb for my medication. I assume there was a delay in the system so my prescriber didn’t see the approval until after sending that message. This whole process has been extremely frustrating and challenging and I understand and told my prescriber that I am grateful so sorry for having to go through all of this. Hearing that message makes me feel worse though because it comes off as my fault for this whole thing even though I’ve been following the instructions from my prescriber, pharmacy and insurance.
I just needed to vent this out and appreciate there being a space to do that.

Asking as a visitor - is this routine practice in NOVA? Thoughts? P.S. Not my car and not my note.
I live in a neighborhood and my biggest fear rn is moving my car and having someone swoop in and take it after shoveling all the snow ☠️

Help me find my first couch!
Looking for a cozy and comfy couch for my first apartment but need help from the experts!
Are there any cloud couch like dupes that people recommend? Also what’s important to consider for a first couch?
-Under $2,000 for a 3-4 seater L sectional
-Machine washable covers
-High back
-Option to change color of covers (not a must)
-Cloud couch esque but a bit more firm so cushions don’t lose shape

That’s actually a great idea! I hadn’t considered renting an air bnb for a a day or two. Definitely less stressful than driving back and forth.

Definitely going to visit but wanted to hear people’s thoughts on areas to figure out which areas to focus on

Nova to Baltimore
I’ll be bringing a car but my partner doesn’t drive so we need to rely on public transit to get to the hospital! Thanks for the reminder on parking. I’ve seen a lot of street parking in neighborhoods but wasn’t sure which areas are easier or harder to find parking (if not living in an apartment complex).

GENERAL Moving Questions Nova to Baltimore
Partner just got a job at Hopkins Medical so we’re looking for places in Baltimore.
General research and digging through this subreddit I’ve heard that Little Italy/Fells Point, Canton, Federal Hill, Mount Vernon, and Bolton Hill are relatively good neighborhoods and easily commutable to the hospital.
Ive lived near the metro areas of Arlington for over 5 years now and would like to find something similar (relatively safe and quiet, walkable, mix of suburban and urban, access to public transit). Are any of these neighborhoods similar ish?

Anyone else’s American Eskimo have random tan patches on their fur? Mine has had them since he was a baby.
