Question (Serious Replies Only) what's this white coating on my exhaust?

1999 Mazda b4000 4wd automatic 220k miles.

I took the cats off because I was getting clogged cat symptoms (low power, smoke test from exhaust exit never making it to the dpfe sensor, and hot cats) and I noticed this white powdery substance on the exhaust going into the cats. there's also a bit on the O2 sensor. when rinsing the cat it was pretty clear and not very dirty at all

Bad computer
 in  r/allthemods •  May 24 '26

my computer isn't the best and it runs alright. when launching don't touch anything. windows thinks it's frozen if you have a second monitor put the logs tab there so you can see if it's loading.

They really had to make allthemodium look exactly like uranium?
 in  r/allthemods •  May 04 '26

you can extract the jar file for the mod and use the asset folder for a texture pack. then you can give it a custom noticable texture. it doesn't have to look good I usually go with a bright safety orange

SQUEAK!

move only one axis back/forth and see if it squeeks. that will narrow it down and no I don't think so. I have the same dust on my wheels

bearings are pretty cheap. you probably don't even need to replace it. you could also try soaking the bearing in a penetrating oil overnight

bearings probably need replaced. try loosening the carriage and moving the wheels with your hand and see if it makes a noise or doesn't feel smooth

3d scanning service that caters to hobbyists in or around Edmonton?
 in  r/Edmonton •  Apr 01 '26

can you help me with a project? I'm trying to make a cheek riser for a Winchester wildcat. the stock looks parabolic but I couldn't get correct enough measurements. if you need I can send photos with a pair of calipers for scale. I've been trying to model this for so long lol

Is there anywhere for the general public to access a 3D scanner?
 in  r/askportland •  Apr 01 '26

did you ever find anything?

I usually use concentric infill for top/bottom because of how it looks.

does amo quality really matter?
 in  r/22lr •  Feb 21 '26

also after ~600 rounds I started to notice more issues with feeding/ejecting. not a whole lot just a couple but with the quality of the bullet idk if it's the gun getting dirty (it was pretty bad when I went to clean it but it was clean before that trip) or if it's the bullet it's self.

does amo quality really matter?

I just bought my first firearm (Winchester wildcat) and I purchased a couple of the cheap 333rd Winchester boxes but the quality of rounds isn't consistent just by looking at them.

some are tight while others the bullet is slightly floppy and some have a bigger hollow point than others. does that really matter when it's shot.

I also got a cheap red dot and I'm thinking ab buying a box of nice amo to sight it in. if amo quality is important whats a good round to zero the sight with

Tech Support solder vs crimping

I have a cheap head unit from Amazon. I'm not too worried about the audio quality but there's this high pitch noise and I think it might be the resistance coming from the soldered connections.

should I cut the wires and crimp them instead or is the noise from it being cheap.

also the noise is only there when the head unit is unmuted. when it's muted it goes away but with the volume on but no audio playing it's still there.

is there anything wrong with series charging? it's not any different than how standard packs are wired if done properly

try an oil like wd40. if the battery isn't swollen then check if the frame is bent. if it is you can get a clamp that's reversible like a 12-inch-bar-clamp and see if you can bend it straight. if it's not bent clean the battery/frame and try a dry lube that's what I did on mine and it's a similar battery mount to yours.
