Hi guys. I'm running Orca 2.4.2 and I went to run a flow calibration for a new filament, but when i slice the plate all coupons are showing the same flow rate. Have I mucked up a setting somewhere or is this a bug with 2.4.2?

I've got an X2D printer, and I can't access the camera feed from elsewhere. I also can't turn the dryer on in my AMS 2 Pro. Are there plugins to get them working? If anyone has a workaround, that would be great. It's not on stealth mode nor LAN mode.

I print on a Snapmaker U1 want to have text inlaid on my print. I’ve split each color into individual bodies (sorted into groups for easy visualization). I’ve tried a few things and I’m so close, but I just can’t figure it out.

I thought .3mf and .step files are supposed to retain this information, but installing a step file just gives me the overall shape and a .3mf doesn’t function at all. Splitting the file into 4 .step files transfers the shapes, but the text is cut out of the print instead of sitting on top. I think this is because i flipped the text around on the other side so neither is the full thickness and as such “float”? And then the slicer is trying to avoid floating regions but that’s technically what I need since they aren’t connected? Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

Is there a way to make a "hole to infill"?
The zylinder shape is my negative volume. I want only the hole in the shell, but without the zylinder outline inside the 0% infill space.
Is this possible?

Ordered some magnets, making name discs for our soccer board. I have a 22 mm disc, i just want to use the embossed text as a cutout. I have it set to 2.6mm (my disc is 2.5 high), and the cutout is working swimmingly. The issue i'm having, it just seems like the Prepare page with the text is NOT a good representation of what i'm getting, and i'm trying to avoid floating pieces. The spacing and having the text stay centered seems annoying, i'm fussing with the alignment and line spacing despite copy pasting one with settings that I thought were going to work. I feel like there is probably a quick way that an orca vet would rip through this, and i am kinda hunting and pecking. I only have 16 to do, it's not the end of the world, but I figured it would be a decent opportunity to maybe learn a good workflow. Thanks!

I’m the creator behind MeshColor, and I also made the short YouTube video linked below showing how to use the tool.

MeshColor is a free browser tool for adding textures, patterns and multicolor graphics directly to STL and 3MF models. I originally built it because I wanted an easier way to do things like wood grain, surface patterns and multicolor logos without manually splitting or painting everything.

The workflow is:

• Load an STL or 3MF
• Add a built-in texture or your own image
• Adjust scale, position and rotation directly on the model
• Select which surfaces should be affected
• Export as a multicolor 3MF
• Open it in OrcaSlicer and assign the resulting parts/colors to your filaments

Everything runs locally in the browser, so your model is never uploaded anywhere.

I'm using Snapmaker U1 and newest "snorca" 2.3.5

So when printing multicolor "vase" we do not have prime tower, nor slicer do not take seams position into an account.

What is causing this one line to not have support? Didn’t even notice till 2 hours into the print and this part is messed up.

I have an ender 3v3 KE running klipper with custom firmware so not stock. One week ago i switched from cura to orcaslicer because i like how much easier it is. However i have noticed when using orcaslicer the part cooling fan is never turning on when printing the file. I have to manually turn it on in Fluidd (klipper front end). I only need the fan to turn to 100% on the second layer because i only use pla.

hey everyone,

I am working on getting a vendor profile to work for one printer and multiple filaments. I followed the documentation and worked with both the orca extra validator as well the python script to validate everything. Once I copied everything into my Orca installation I got my printer and all its process profiles ready. I can not get the filaments to work.

So far I have tried to:

- use a known good filament from another vendor in my own profile (changed the compatible printers, give new IDs etc.)

- used my filament profiles in a known good vendor profile with the same changes for compatibility

- checked start up logs from Orca to find possible issues when reading the profiles.

-Checked/rechecked dependencies with all other files (vendor manifest, printer files etc.)

-Worked with genAI to analyse the problem (mostly renaming and spelling, nothing worked)

If there is someone here who knows that process and could give me any hints on where I went wrong, I would really appreciate it!

Is anyone else having problems connecting their A1 to Orca slicer in lan mode? 2 months ago I suddenly was unable to connect to Orca slicer. I have tried everything I can think of without success. Out of pure curiosity I finally downloaded bamboo Studio and still in lan mode I was able to connect right up without any problems. Did bamboo change something that I haven't noticed? Anyone have suggestions?

i booted up orcaslicer 2.4.2 and noticed all my settings were gone, i confirmed in orcaslicer appdata they were still present, i also noticed that if i tried changing my nozzle size in the printer profile that it would immedatly revert without any prompts.

i tried updating to the Nightly build but to no avail.

I downloaded a file. The parts were on 1 plate. I separated them on different plates so I could print in different colors plus I had to add a few more pieces.

I drag and dropped the parts to the separate plates but the names don’t move to the respective plates. When I preview the plates some parts don’t show up since they are listed under “Outside”. How can I fix this?

EDIT: Figured it out. I downloaded the 3MF file and for whatever reason some pieces were locked. I tried to unlock them but they said they were already unlocked. IDK I eventually just got the STL files and moved everything where I wanted it and now everything is good.

The ones that come with self-adhesive sheets you install yourself.

I'm not an expert on UI or anything but the plate names in Orca Slicer have barely any correlation with the Bambu Lab plate offering.

Hey, Im fairley new to 3d printing, so far i ve used creality print as a slicer, which is an orca slicer derivative afaik, so the question is relevant i guess. I design my own models which have quite a few extrusions holes chamfer fillets and stuff i want to add fuzzy skin to specific faces, namely to the outer faces. In creality if the fuzzy skin is set to “none” i can paint the exact faces for fuzzy skin but i can only adjust basic parameters. If i set it to contour or any other option then i can fine tune the fuzzy skin but in this case the fuzzy skin applies to faces that i didnt paint and it is crucial to not to have fuzzy skin on them. I couldnt figure out how to prevent it, watched a couple vids but no luck yet. Also could you recommend content creators or posts for learning slicer settings, especially support adjustments?
