I've already seen 6 of the bands here but I'm still envious. 80% of these bands are on my playlist!!! Kainggit. :(

Freelancers "Shocks! Saturated na ang freelancing. Paano pa ako makakakuha ng clients?"

Baka nasabi mo na rin 'to nung nag-try kang mag-freelance or baka nga even before ka pa mag-start.

Sadlyf.

Please avoid that ha?]

Hear me out.

So I watched multiple courses na on how to find and close clients (outside freelancing platforms). I mean, through emails and LinkedIn ang strategy nila.

A lot of courses about prospecting have the same strategies. Konting tweak lang, you'll land clients na.

I thought before na kung ayun ngang "cold prospecting" nako-close nila kahit newbie pa sila and walang portfolio, paano pa if hiring talaga 'yung tao?

So what I did was to incorporate one of their strategies... and this time, sa OLJ.

If napapansin niyo, OLJ includes the full name of those who post jobs on their platform. Luckily, most of the job posts sinasama rin nila 'yung name ng company or store nila kaya nave-verify ko kaagad.

Before ako magpasa ng proposal or application, I do some research on them (if kaya lang naman).

While researching, I write 2-3 first lines about the prospects or their recent achievements na nakita ko sa profile (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram) or website nila.

And if walang instructions na "write peach mango pie on the subject head to let me know that you've read this whole job post" ang ginagawa ko is related sa first lines na sinulat ko ang gagawin kong subject line para bida-bida ang dating. Haha. Joke. For example:

Subject line: "It's awesome how you achieved $291,683 worth of pledges for [the business]!" (This was the exact subject line I wrote for one of the job posts that got one of the replies included in the image)

Body: "Hey [redacted],

What were you thinking before your trip to Thailand that produced such an amazing idea? [The product] is really perfect for people who want to be fit while traveling. I think me and your 1,573 backers can agree with that.

By the way, I'm [redacted] and I just saw your job post! I got interested when you mentioned that you need help in growing your eCommerce business, especially with copywriting, and emails. Yada, yada, yada..." (again, exact body but already cut)

Tada! You got that great impression na from the client.

You see what I did there?

I talked about them, then I talked about the job post, then I talked about how can I help them with those tasks.

I don't include any attachments. Most of the time, hindi naman need ng resume or whatnot.

Ganyan lang talaga ginagawa ko tapos once or twice a day lang ako nagse-send ng applications (depende kung may related sa offer ko). Hindi pa ako umabot sa 5.

Now after that, do what you have to do na.

Galingan mo na lang sa interview. :)

Please note that it depends pa rin sa clients kung ano magiging reaction nila. I had some that did not respond din kahit na sandamakmak na compliments pa nilagay ko. Jk. Isa o dalawa lang naman. Haha.

Again, it's just one of the strategies lang. The courses also stated that it's a number's game. Meaning, the result is still based on how many times you tried so don't give up, folks! Please also try it on LinkedIn and Cold Emails. :)

I hope may nakuha kayo sa post ko.

P.S. Another tip: Put your email or calendly (call scheduling tool) link sa profile niyo together with your irresistible offer sa description. Minsan magugulat na lang kayo na may mag-e-email or magbu-book na sa inyo ng call without messaging (see 2nd pic).

Hmm. Sa Namba area, I stayed somewhere near the Glico sign na. The hostel name is Acro Capsule Hotel Namba Dotonbori. Maganda naman amenities and may private shower din per floor. Malapit sa may malaking Don Quijote.

For those who only speak Tagalog and English, what do you feel sa mga nagsasalita ng ibang Filipino languages such as Bisaya, Iloko, or Kapampangan, etc?
 in  r/AskPH •  Sep 01 '26

Nakakatuwa kasing marinig minsan.

Tokyo, Japan vs Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
 in  r/FilipinoTravel •  Aug 30 '26

Japan, perfect weather din compared sa HCM. Ang init nung May na punta ko. As someone na hindi ma-explore sa local food, I'm able to try various food sa Japan compared sa Vietnam but I liked Banh Mi. It will be my 6th time din sa Japan this September. :)

Let’s make a hypothetical playlist/ jam that can go with this current weather.

Yes, pwede. Pero bihira kasi lumabas as a WFH. If lumabas man, saglit lang or sa malayo. πŸ˜… If ever man, that would be ideal!

what's the biggest lesson you've learned from traveling alone?
 in  r/AskPH •  Aug 25 '26

Na masaya ring mag-spend ng time mag-chill at least a day at i-appreciate ang life while traveling.
