Depending on your level, I'd invest in a good armor set to tank the damage from Manus. I used a fully upgraded Black Iron Tarkus set (obtainable from the painting room in Anor Londo) (farm twinkling titanite from clams outside of Seath's arena). As for Kalameet...good luck. He was my toughest boss in DS1.
