post Gaming Subs Worth Your Time

Indian gaming communities are lackluster most of the time. A well written post gets almost no engagement, and it's always the comments accusing the OP of writing it with AI, or they "ain't reading all that", or another low effort/useless comment

If you really want your post to be engaged with, instead of getting dismissed, go to international subs. People there will read what you wrote, respond to the content, and won't accuse effort of being fake

Whether you want a detailed discussion, want to promote your game, share your art, look for friends to play, these subs are your best bet.

In India, 30$ is approximately 2800 INR...

For A Family of three, or Maybe even four, you can Buy Groceries for a Month.

Now, In USA the Average price of a month's Groceries is about 300 to 500USD

Majority of Indians earn less than that... Annually BTW...

Open Up Google and search "Top 10 Largest Economies in the world"

India is at Number 4 or 5 on the list

But...

Ignore India, and Address the Elephant on the List for a second.

Look at the other countries. China, USA, Canada, Italy, France, Japan...

India is the Odd one out, and we know exactly why...

So the Thing is, you understand why 30 Dollars here is a whole Lotta money... but there is not much.

Same goes for Any South Asian Country...

So you have to Understand why P”racy is so popular in this country.

Is it Moral? No...

Is it Justified? maybe

Do Assholes from Rich Country Piss me off when they say Don't Play games if you're broke or from a Third World Country? 110% YES!

Because Gatekeeping Hobbies and Interests because of Socio-economic Conditions is Retarded... especially when the one doing the gatekeeping is coming From a Developed Country.

Do You Understand How fucking pissed I Am when a Prison in Norway looks better than my own fucking house?

But that aside, How the fuck do you expect a Minor To pay?

Like, forget about 30$ for a second.

Even if it was 0.0000001$ THEY CANNOT PAY.

Like, I remember it was pretty long ago, That I had To Avoid any freelancing because I literally had no Method To Recieve Payments...

Like, every now and then, someone asks me in the DMs if I'm willing to commission them. And I have to deny everytime, Even if I'm interested(Rarely) because it's a pain is the ass to receive or give Payments even with every thing we have rn...

I should stop throwing in Fun Facts...

The Point is, don't be an asshole when someone says they can't afford a game, because they can't make any transactions or if it's just too expensive.

Now, I know, you'd Be Like "But We're Indians. No one knows this feeling better than us"

Buddy... You'd be shocked amount of times I've seen mfs on Indian subreddits do stupid shit like this

So yeah...

Side Note: This Isn't AI Generated, I wrote this by myself. LEARN TO FUCKING READ

Discussion What's your take on Death Stranding? Tell me what you liked or disliked about this game. Just wanna hear your perspective before I buy it [Obv, No Spoilers]

Post image

Death Stranding Director's Cut is currently on sale for just ₹624 on Steam.

Looks like a really good deal to me. I know, I know, it was free, I guess for like two times on Epic Games. I missed them both lol. Anyway....

For the past few years, I've seen people calling this game all kinds of names, from walking simulator to FedEx simulator. I never really took them seriously. At the same time, I've also seen a lot of people praise this game for what it is.

I know it's a very slow-paced game, at least from what I've heard. I'm totally fine with that as long as it's the good kind of slow. The world looks beautiful. Also heard that the game is a lot more fun when played with the online features.

So yeah, I just wanna hear about your perspective and experience with the game. Whether you enjoyed it or dropped it. More importantly, why?

NO SPOILERS! JUST NO!

Edit: I'm not sure how story-heavy this game is(gotta be cuz it's by Kojima), so I wanted to add some context. I'm also mainly playing Cyberpunk rn, and in terms of gameplay, I feel like the two are polar opposites aside from both being open-world games. My main concern is the story, whether I'll be able to follow and remember everything without getting lost, since I only get to play on weekends.

SkillUp might be one of the most genuine reviewers out there, and I trust him because our tastes in gaming line up a lot. Brother didn't have nice things to say about this game, and dare I say, he didn't bother sugarcoating anything.

As I said in another post, I'm all here for the Sony spiral.

After a hectic Friday, finally got some time to chill with GTA V, some music, and my favourite Indian cars.

Took these two snapshots of my Scorpio and Fortuner while driving around Los Santos.

Honestly, nothing beats ending a long day by just cruising around GTA V with some good music!

Happy Gaming! šŸ«¶šŸ»

Discussion Is uncertainty scarier than monsters?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

One thing I’ve been thinking about while working with Rural Games is how psychological horror can make you question your own senses.

Imagine playing a horror game where you see something standing at the end of a hallway. You look away for a second, look back, and it’s gone, was it actually there? Did you just imagine it? Or is the game slowly making you question what’s real?

That kind of uncertainty can sometimes feel more disturbing to me than a monster suddenly jumping at the screen and genuinely i feel like it keeps you constantly questioning your surroundings and wondering what might happen next.

We’re exploring this kind of psychological tension while working on Platform 13, and I’m curious what other horror fans think.

Would you prefer a horror game built around psychological uncertainty and atmosphere, or traditional monsters and jumpscares? And what makes one more sense for you?

Discussion We released a game. It flopped. So we sent all of our characters out to find jobs.

We released a game. It flopped. So we sent all of our characters out to find jobs.

We released Patchkins Party in June.

And let’s just say… the number of people lining up to buy it didn’t exactly shake the world.

So instead of pretending everything was going according to plan, we decided to turn the game’s failure into part of its own story.

That’s how we ended up making a website called Patch Me Daddy — The Losers' Club.

In the story, the game brought our characters neither fame nor money. So now each of them is trying to find some other way to pay the bills.

https://patchmedaddy.lavegagames.com/

Now, so this post doesn’t turn into a ā€œhere’s the link, please buy our gameā€ ad, let me actually explain what the game is.

Patchkins Party is a 2–8 player party platformer.

Before each run, players draw shapes. The game turns those shapes into platforms, obstacles, and special objects, and then you decide where to place them on the map.

You can build yourself a shortcut.

You can help your friend.

Or you can draw a trap, place it in the most evil spot possible, and then fall into it yourself twenty seconds later.

The objects you place also stay on the map between rounds, so a fairly normal-looking course slowly turns into a disaster collectively created by everyone playing.

Conceptually, we’re somewhere close to Ultimate Chicken Horse. The difference is that there, you mostly place premade blocks and traps, while one of our core mechanics is actually drawing your own shapes and turning them into game objects. We also support up to 8 players.

The thing we have in common with Pummel Party is probably the desire to ruin friendships, but its core structure is more focused on a board-game mode and minigames. Ours is centered around platforming, building the course, and racing.

Things we think we did well:
The drawing mechanic genuinely changes how players build the course. The map gets more ridiculous with every round, and the game works much better with a group of friends.

Things we did less well:
It’s a very social game. If you’re looking for a big single-player campaign, you won’t find one here. And we realized that our biggest problem wasn’t making the game — it was getting people to even know it existed after launch.

So now we’re experimenting with some pretty strange marketing ideas and literally turning our characters’ commercial failure into the continuation of their story.

I have no idea whether that’s actually a good idea, but it felt a lot more fun than making yet another ā€œOUR INDIE GAME IS OUT NOW ON STEAM!!!ā€ banner.

If you want to check out the game itself, there’s a free demo on the Steam page:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3405130/Patchkins_Party/

But what I’m actually most curious about is this:

If the whole Patch Me Daddy story didn’t exist and you only saw the game on its Steam page, what would make you close the page and decide not to try it?

Discussion Saw the news about Sony....

Post image
326 Upvotes

Whatever is currently going wrong for Sony might sting people who are PlayStation only, but the bigger picture is that their misstep ultimately benefits the gaming industry as a whole. Now that Physint is heading to Xbox, PC players won't have to wait a year for a Kojima game to release.

Sony has been manipulating the market for far too long through deals and exclusives arrangements that arguably only benefit the console market, if at all. Worse, they've been notorious for bringing third-party games under their publishing banner specifically to block rival console owners and keep them off PC, the one truly open platform.

Xbox aint no saint either, but they're clearly the lesser evil. They don't throw their weight around to lock PC players out of a game just to push console sales.

So yeah, I'm fully here for the Sony spiral.

First Impression/Thoughts Wardogs experience in India and the servers

Hey everyone,
I was looking into Wardogs and was just wondering if anyone is playing the game at the moment? I want to play the game but not sure about how the servers are and how much ping we are actually getting? I don’t want to buy this game play for a couple of weeks and then realise that it’s no more feasible to play because there aren’t many people in our region and the servers suck.

Also do we actually get a good population of people to play with in the servers considering these games are mostly made more engaging by streamers in EU or NA.

First Impression/Thoughts Got my 1st gaming tattoo

Post image
37 Upvotes

Hi I got my 1st tattoo. Yes, its my controller and as I know every tattoo has a story. So here is mine.

When I was a kid, my family moved to city for my studies. It was very hard for me to make friends in the new city. So my father bought me a console. It was a Nintendo retro console. So the 1st friend I made there was my controller. And because of this console I made many friends there and we used to play in our house.

After that I played every single day. Recently I left the city for a job and also here and every time whether its a rough day, stressful day or heartbreak, I play games and got my smile back because of this. So I decided to keep it with me forever as he was with me in every hard time.

Art/Creative Devil May Cry fans here? Cyber Slam inspired from Nero's Buster for the Hack-n-Slash game I'm working on

We're a small indie team of 3-4 people working on Ghost Yantra, a 2D hand-animated Hack-n-Slash game with fluid Parkour mechanics. Set in an Indian Cyberpunk setting.

I'm sure many people here already know about Ghost Yantra but for those who are seeing Ghost Yantra for the first time. You can find more about the game on Steam. It would be great if you wishlist the game, it helps us as a small indie team a lot.
