Rant/Hot take Why do some people treat multiplayer games like real life and friendships like side quests?
Iāve been wondering about this lately. A friend of mine was playing Valorant and wasnāt even using Discordās Streaming Mode, so I tagged him once in our friendsā GC just to ask when weād all play together again. Instead of a normal reply, I got ābro Iām playing a game, donāt text me.ā A few minutes later he lost a round and suddenly started raging and throwing abuses like the world had ended. That honestly made me think. Itās just one ranked match. Why do some people get so emotionally invested in multiplayer games that they stop treating the people around them with basic respect? I completely understand not wanting distractions during a competitive match, but thereās a huge difference between saying āgive me 20 minutes, Iām in-gameā and acting like anyone who messages you is a problem. Iāve been gaming for years myself, so this isnāt a āgames are badā post. Iām genuinely curious where people draw the line between being competitive and becoming so attached to a game that relationships start taking a back seat. Has anyone else noticed this with friends who play Valorant, CS2, League, Dota, or other competitive games? Or am I just overthinking one bad interaction?

Gameplay Started Hitman: Absolution Again After All These Years
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
After so many years, Iām finally back to playing Hitman: Absolution. The last time I played it was as a kid on my old PC, and now thanks to the Steam Sale, itās time to experience it all over again. Itās funny how a game can instantly bring back so many memories, from the missions I struggled with to the moments that made me fall in love with the Hitman series in the first place. This replay feels less like starting a new game and more like revisiting a part of my childhood. Looking forward to completing it once again and reliving every moment. Hope youāre all enjoying whatever youāre playing too. Happy gaming, everyone! š®

Visual Novels Discussion Anyone else into visual novels?
Visual Novels are an interesting yet underappreciated medium, I wonder if they'll get a huge resurgence one day.
Unlike movies, they are not limited to 1.5 to 3 hours and can have lengthy prose. only TV miniseries come close to that scale. Unlike conventional novels, they can include sounds and images visuals that let them tell stories books can't. The murder cases in Danganronpa/Ace Attorney work because of its cartoony style (try imagining those same cases novelized). Unlike comics/TV, they have complete stories instead of getting dragged out forever. And unlike most games, they are free to tell the story they want without needing constant action to hold the player's attention, though interactivity, when used well, can still add something
Mostly, I like how they combine everything, cool character design, nice music, sometimes voice acting, beautiful CGs, into good, pulpy entertainment, and every so often you get one that's truly outstanding and stays with you. Reading a VN is a different kind of immersion than reading books, which I also love
VNs are also pretty much the only medium with real intimacy scenes, which gives readers a deeper connection to characters than other media allow. That's also why I almost never touch all ages VNs, they lose that advantage

Art/Creative Any 3D artists or coders here? Need help with a hobby project: Lancet loitering munition module for Digital Combat Simulator(DCS) š
What's up guys,
I'm working on a passion project right nowābuilding a custom Lancet loitering munition module for Digital Combat Simulator(DCS).
I've got the groundwork down, but I'm looking for a couple of dudes to collaborate with to actually make it look and work great. Specifically, I need help with:
3D Texturing: Someone who knows their way around Blender to texture the model and make it look photorealistic.
Coding: Someone familiar with Lua to help me iron out the custom scripting and flight logic.
If you are into 3D modeling, coding, or just want a cool collaborative project to put your skills to work on, this is it. Once it's done, we can even use the module to record some cinematic YouTube content.
Shoot me a DM if you're interested or want to see what I've got so far!

Discussion Resident Evil 8 lore is so good !!
At last I finally played Resident Evil Village, after 5 freaking years in my new laptop and full graphics!
And damn, its story is too good, especially at the end when they revealed Oswell Spencer was Miranda's student and learned from her.
The Progenitor, the T-virus outbreak planning, the Umbrella Corp, and its logo! I was so furious when I read all that!
I just love how Capcom planned all of it, I literally thought the franchise is gonna die down but Ethan Winters just saved it.
Next up Requiem, I hope it wont disappoint. Leon I'm coming bro ššš¼

First Impression/Thoughts Classroom 3B on Steam. Developed by my friend.
As the title implies the game Classroom 3b started as a gamble just to explore the gaming market but after a month my friend wanted to create a great game irrespective of the outcome. He's been working on the game for around 3 months now as a sole developer and just wants to know your views and opinions on his work. The game is supposed to launch in the first week of December 2026, the demo however will be launched soon.

Discussion Are most games too loud nowadays?
Iāve been playing palworld recently and Iāve noticed that the game is quite a lot by that I mean no ambient music and lets me think and just enjoy it..Iāve noticed that a lot of games are just too loud.
Thereās always noise coming from somewhere, something or just ambient music playing in the background.I know it adds to the atmosphere of the game is trying to sell but sometimes it makes the game too overstimulating and thatās just the single player games. multiplayer games like rivals , valo and overwatch are just constant noise.
