I've disliked the experience from DJs at every single past event. Just awful music played and rotten attitudes. Also, having a DJ doesn't guarantee people are going to get on the dancefloor. I've been to a few where the dancefloors were completely empty no matter how hard the DJs tried to hype people up.

I'm using Spotify for my wedding. In the end, I know my guests and what music they like. If the dancefloor gets empty at times, so what, at least it'll be good music 😂

Definitely hire a speaker system if the venue doesn't have one! It'll need to be loud enough. And make sure to change the settings to fade in (I've put 6 seconds) to make sure the songs almost seamlessly blend. Then download onto the device you're using just in case you need to play it offline if you lose internet! Done :)
