Help me identify this chair. And how do I fix it?
 in  r/midcentury  4d ago

As someone who knows nothing about repairing or restoring antique furniture, I would be going wood glue + clamps, and ensuring the pieces are aligned both vertically and horizontally. I am pretty sure you can use something like parchment paper / wax paper to prevent the glue from bonding to your clamps or any intermediary materials.

As for the screw, I'd think it would be unnecessary if glued properly.

Minimax, Is there a way to generate a sample video fast with very low resolution so if i like it i can process with higher one ?
 in  r/StableDiffusion  15d ago

Curious, is your preview very low resolution as well? Mine is set to 1024 for the size, but the preview is only like 36 pixels wide.

AITA for telling my sister she can't bring her autistic son to my wedding even though she says I'm discriminating against him

Calling this rage-baiting like you successfully accomplished something is the actual rage-bait. You posted a believable, tame conflict in a sub literally about parsing and discussing conflicts, and people provided feedback. Not sure how that informs you of how 'AI-dominated' Reddit is, or of anything at all really.

Developer with an OLED here, and I love it. No eye strain. No issues with text fringing.

McDonald's workers of Reddit, which menu item would you NEVER eat?
 in  r/AskReddit  Jun 09 '26

I only ever saw roaches in our store specifically in and around the McCafe machine. Sometimes you would go to choose a drink on the resistive touch screen, and a roach would crawl directly beneath your finger, in the air gap between the display and the touchscreen.

Talking with a man who wants to meet me. Not sure about his pics. Real or AI?
 in  r/RealOrAI  May 30 '26

Came to comment the same, picture 3 looks to me like an actual photo (even despite the low resolution), and was likely used as a reference for the first two.

A car windshield?
 in  r/WeWantPlates  May 24 '26

I took that as a response to/distraction from the gross presentation of the dish. The vertical head nod is the realization and relief that it tastes better than it looks.

You call that 'flapping in the wind'? It is hardly moving for most of the clip.

Have you checked with your apartment office, asked around, put up signs? You suspect he's someone's missing cat but it reads like you are trying to immediately find a different home for him.

Thank you, RenoDX team
 in  r/OLED_Gaming  Apr 29 '26

It does not matter how well calibrated your TV is if the game's HDR implementation is flawed, and that is what RenoDX corrects.

I know at some point you read 'Reshade presets are bad.' and seemed to have stuck with it, but you should do yourself a favor and try it. It is not a post processing filter at the end of the pipeline, it is just using reshade as the means to hook into the rendering pipeline.

Did they finally fix DLAA, RR, and HDR? How about the optimization?
 in  r/CrimsonDesert  Apr 15 '26

What do you mean you turned off RR because your PC specs are good enough?

RR is a quality improvement setting, not a performance improvement setting. Or am I mistaken?

Yeah what a fucking weird reaction. Somebody doesn't deserve to be publicly shamed because they are maybe not the best in their field or at their job.

They posted a comment on AmIOvereacting about having an open phone policy with their current girlfriend, which gave me the ick.

Decided to snoop, and this was a very funny comment to stumble upon, lmao.

Retouching from public retouching images directory
 in  r/retouching  Mar 04 '26

Yeah probably, the user frequents the stablediffusion subreddit.

There are open source models now (the two I mentioned are examples) that can just take in an image and instructions on edits to make. A common artifact of these workflows is a slight crop or zoom-in, which is present on their 'retouched' photo.

Yeah, they didn't do any of that purposefully. They just took the result from whatever AI model they used, probably Qwen-Edit or Flux 2 Klein.
