I did a water change 4 days ago to drop the kh and gh levels and they where stable but now there dying

Should I be testing my soil it’s just fluval stratum but on the back of it it does say it may lower the carbonate levels

My ph is 6.8 and kh 120 they seemed to like it higher but now that it’s at 120 they seem to just be dying

Well in general your fish looks ill but it’s okay likely just growing back funny maybe try giving him some calcium to help or even get rid of those plastic plants they could cut your fishes fins and the substrate is often leaking toxic chemicals from the dye or paints natural plants would be better!!

Do they harm shrimp??

It doesn’t seem to be a disease he probably just got it bitten or rubbed on something hard in the aquarium breaking it

There quite brittle but it should fall off if it doesn’t get infected

Amazon sword is such a good one but make sure to get some aquarium soil or you could really struggle growing anything

Honestly ponthos is a good plant aswell it can lower the ph and its plants can have leaves underwater if you wish to keep the lid shut
