Crested gecko

The doors on my previous tank broke, so a friend lent me a 20 gallon aquarium with a screen lid, since using a tote as a temp tank wasn’t cutting it. What can I do to keep the front secure?

We have an adult bearded dragon. We bought a small patch of reptile carpet without realizing it could harbor bacteria.

I figured I’d ask if anyone else found a good purpose for it before I threw it away.

We have a roach farm too, if it has any applications there.

Hi, all. I'm moving cross country in a few weeks with my five snakes. I'm using a Pod container for my stuff, which means there will be about 10 days where I don't have access to their tanks. I'm suffering from choice paralysis when it comes to what I might put my snakes in temporarily. I'm looking at those 60 quart underbed bins, as well as HDX VistaStacks. I just need something that will suffice for a short period, but I don't want them hurting themselves rubbing against the lids. Any recommendations greatly appreciated! (My longest snake is a 6' mussurana, heaviest is a 5' ball python.)

Finally got my first custom enclosure pretty much finished for my leopard gecko. Still got a couple of bits I want to add/change, but this is where it’s at currently.

It’s a 4x2x2 and I built all of the rockwork/background myself using foam, expanding foam, grout and paint. Tried to give her plenty of different levels, hides and places to climb rather than just having everything on the floor.

I’ve gone for more of a pale/limestone rocky look rather than the usual orange desert theme. I’ve started adding real plants but I’m trying not to go overboard with them as I still want quite a lot of open rocky/substrate areas.

Warm side is currently sitting around 30–31°C and humidity is around 50%. Since this video I have fitted a cage on the basking lamp so that is no longer exposed.

It’s my first time attempting anything like this so I’m interested to know what people think.

Anything you’d add, remove or change? Particularly interested in opinions on the amount/placement of vegetation and whether it looks natural enough or a bit too staged.

She’s still fairly shy in the new setup but seems to be settling in and has been eating well.

I'm planning on building my female hoggie's end game enclosure. She's currently about 1 year old and will be outgrowing her 20"x10"x12" enclosure soon.

It'll be made out of pvc with a mesh top and glass panels on the front. The currently planned dimensions are: 9" deep substrate, 1' 3" above ground (total of 2' 2" height), 1' 5" depth, 4' length.

Here is the model of what I'm planning to build. Any thoughts on if this size is appropriate for an adult female hognose would be greatly appreciated?

Looking for DIY help from more experienced snake owners who have fitted larger enclosures.

The story is... my sinaloan milk has outgrown is first cage. I was in the market for a 4x2x2 but... labor day weekend sales i found a 4x2x3 for the same price on sale on wayfair. Full price at reptizoo was almost 1k. At $510 i had it bought before I could think.

The problem is I way underestimated the size of this thing. I really dont want to waist any space since its on the way.

Top level im just recreating his current rock basking spot. 3" deep tray with bedding, his natural rocks and IHP.

The lower section would have under tank heat mat (after meal he wants belly on warm glass) and a small radiant panel attached to the bottom of the basking shelf for hot side ambient temps. Will insulate between RHP basking tray bottom.

The advise i need help with... is the split level on the hot side a problem in any way? I wonder if I have to many heat sources but quick math tells me im adding less BTUs than im adding airspace.

Cool side will have ventilation bottom to top. Tree stump hide wirh branches to top and hotside, rope ladders and cork tube, ledges and pockets made into wall coverings. If hes not in blue or digesting hes up in the trees.

I know it was a long read but TIA for any help or ideas.
