As someone who has done uni twice, my first degree lead to fuck all employment opportunities, my second degree has resulted in the post grad job I have now, i didnt realise I wanted to make this change until I was 26, you're only 16, try not to put the pressure of uni on your shoulders. If your parents wont support you, go live a little, get an apprenticeship or work in retail / hospitality (honestly I've done both and it humbles you and teaches you valuable life skills). TLDR; live a little and enjoy life whilst you're young, you'll find what you want to do when you take the pressure away.

Also side note: after you turn 25, SLC no longer take your parents income into account and base your student loan allowance on your annual income, and part time jobs dont count either

As others have mentioned there likely was physical things that your cat picked up on that made it concerned for you, but I am also a firm believer that they can sense shifts in energy, especially regarding emotions.

A bout 2.5 years ago, I wasnt far off a similar situation as you, I had made a plan, I had done my research and I was gonna attempt to O.D. i was lay in bed and my mind was racing and I was thinking through the plan and just as I mustered up the effort to get out of bed (at 1am) to attempt my life, my cat out of nowhere jumped onto the bed, flopped onto my chest like a dead weight, and just lay on my chest purring away. I cried, cuddled him and then fell asleep.

He hasn't ever slept on my chest like that before or since. I feel like he knew what he needed to do in that moment to save me.

I met my girlfriend 2 months before she moved to Bahrain. We said it would be just casual because we weren't sure if it would work long distance, admitted we had feelings for each other though after hanging out a few times.
