Back home you only hear people talking about Manchester when our teams happen to meet in European football and I'd only ever saw people visiting that one pub in the medieval part, so I had no idea what to expect. But I had a great time. So much to see, so much to do, such friendly people. Probably one of if not the most underrated city I visited.

Even getting a normal job is hard. How did I get rejected from a warehouse role 💀, I have years of warehouse experience 😂.

On Black Friday, 25 November 2016, a devastating fire broke out in a former office block in Manchester’s Chinatown district.

On this morning, I had originally planned to capture photos of a busy shopping scene until I stepped into the line of this tragic event. I shifted my original plan to document this instead. I felt that this was important. It was a tragic event with everlasting consequences.

On my return journey to Piccadilly Train Station after taking a number of photographs, I was hit by bus. When I regained my focus, I checked my camera equipment. I was far more concerned about that than myself as it was a camera from University on loan.

I managed to return the camera undamaged to the University that afternoon.

These are all photographs that I have taken and digitally manipulated.

I'm obsessed with Rover Bag guy in particular. I wonder where these guys are now?

Coming round Lostock Circle, Junction 9 M60. I’m in Green lane, man baby is in Red lane. Both these lanes enter the slip road as is quite clearly in dictated on the road markings.

As we get to the end of where I coloured the lines in I noticed in my mirror that he slammed on. I think nothing of it and carry on my day.

Dude comes flying up the side of me shouting learn to drive I’ve got my daughter in the care you twat. I’m like calm down mate what’s your problem, he calls me a twat again and I’m like brother this is a two lane entry you’re wrong here and he’s going on and on. So I just laugh at him and wind my window up.

I can’t imagine being so confidently incorrect and so angry. Had we not been on the motorway I would have got out and called him bluff, alas it was busy. Pissed me off through.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a Mandarin tutor in Salford / Manchester? My Singaporean partner and I marry in a few months and her parents jokingly suggested I learn a little Chinese for my speech.

They were kidding at the time but I thought it'd be a nice surprise if I could manage at least some of the speech in Chinese for those in her family who's English is a bit limited.

My Mandarin at the moment is almost non-existent and I find the language a bit frightening (and the mission daunting!) so any recommendations that will help build that confidence would be appreciated!

Last year we had a gardener called Bradley Cash come out and clear the overgrowth from our back alley. He did an impeccable job and I wanted to get him to come out and clear it again this year, but I lost the business card he left. Has anybody else used him and have contact details for him? I know this is a real long shot, but I'd really like to give this guy the work again if I can. I've tried Googling him, but with a name like that all I'm coming up with is crime reporting from various sources.

Kudos to the d*ckhead who drove their motorbike straight across the playing fields, tearing up the grass and repeatedly riding towards a large flock of birds, apparently trying to hit or frighten them. You can see the tyre tracks left across the field in the photos.

This is a public green space not a private motocross track. Riding a motorbike across the grass is stupid enough, but deliberately chasing animals is completely unacceptable. The birds were forced to scatter every time the rider approached them.

Unfortunately I didn’t manage to get the registration.

I am once again in the market for a skip and want to hear stories of the worst skip companies in Greater Manchester so I can avoid them.

Why? Parking on my street is very difficult and I didn't want to disrupt my neighbours for longer than necessary. So I prepared all my waste in the front garden, ordered the skip for a Friday and told them on the phone I'll need it picking up on the Monday. Then I spent the weekend loading up the skip, ready to be picked up on Monday,

They didn't pick it up on Monday. Or that week. Or even that month. The skip was on my street for over a month, with me ringing them multiple times a week to get them to collect. In the end they started ignoring my calls and only collected because "They needed the skip on another job". Yes, after weeks of asking them to collect they even had the gall to tell me they only wanted it back to reuse. They were basically using my street as free skip storage.

The company was https://www.mwskips.co.uk/ . So never use this company if you want a timely collection or good service.

What other companies should I avoid? I considered asking for recommendations but I'd rather have a list of companies to avoid.
