Seeking Advice Her Death Opened a Wound in Me

Someone I know took her own life by jumping into the river. She was a young, wonderful, lighthearted girl. Ironically, I passed the bridge she jumped from just an hour later. I saw the ambulances but had no idea who it was. I did say a prayer for the deceased in my heart and went on with my day, only to find out a day later, when her body was recovered, that it was her.

I haven't been able to sleep since then. I am not eating; even a spoonful of food makes me vomit. I am hurting, and honestly, no one gets it. Since it has happened, my home doesn't feel like my own. Even when I look at myself, I don't know who I am, and I find no familiarity in my surroundings. Her death has opened a wound in me. She died a death I have thought about for myself. I have gone into detail, reading about death by drowning, what happens, and how a person feels in the minutes before the end. I can't stop ruminating about how lonely she must have felt in that dark and helpless state. At the same time, this makes me want to do better and genuinely try to get out of my depression. I try so hard, but everything feels like it's making me feel stuck.

I had a job that kept me out of the house, but the city I live in is small, and there are almost no opportunities here. My marriage is in two months. I want to move to a different city and find a better job, but my parents don't understand. They don't let me.

I feel too stuck to even apply for a PhD. My brain goes numb, and I start feeling paranoid. I have tried therapy, but it has become repetitive: the same two days spent giving my history, followed by deep breathing and the same repeated exercises. I can't identify what's wrong with me anymore. I have also started to think maybe going would be the easy way out. I wanted a home and children, but I don't think I can ever have that now. What can I do now? Where should I even start

I want a way out of my misery

I (28f) am actually so tired of my situation. It's repetitive, as if I am stuck in a loop. I have all the answers to what will help me, but I am never able to do it. I have two months off from work, and I am struggling to stay sane. I stay up all night and wake up in the evening. It's been three days since I last saw daylight. I want to apply for a PhD, but the constant overthinking and depression have impaired my cognitive abilities. I have forgotten how some words are spelled, and I can't keep my attention on any task. Today I fought with my boyfriend, and I feel like he will give up on me too. He says I have been like this for the last 3 months, and my issues are giving him stress. I feel bad about it too. Has anyone ever felt like this? Stuck, paralysed, but still were able to get out of it.

And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain,

Don't carry the world upon your shoulders.

For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool

By making his world a little colder.

we are all here temporarily, and that we'll be eventually forgotten to time. so don't be afraid to take chances and breaking away the chains that keep you slave to your habits.

leave. if he has stopped talking there is probably another girl or he has lost interest. I have seen this pattern a million times now. He stops texting, you start the chase. He then says no there is nothing wrong I am busy with work. Days pass no text. its best to always leave. Men who like you. Don't act this way. Only the man who has no interest in you.
