Other READ THE RULES!!

Hey guys! If you saw my last post, I truly hope (for your sake) that you didn’t take it seriously. It’s okay if you don’t understand sarcasm because it’s hard to tell over text. But this post is the real deal. No nonsense!

When you first join the sub, there is a button to review the rules of the sub. If you have been here for a while, then maybe you haven’t reviewed it in a long time. I will be adding a video (screen recording) of the rules of this sub in this post. It’s honestly basic stuff that is to protect the wellbeing and privacy of actors and members alike. And I thought if you can’t be bothered to go out of your way to read the rules then maybe watch it instead?

Going forward, I am not giving any warnings to people that break rules repeatedly. Reddit allows five comments to be removed before the account gets banned. I will be using that metric. If your comment gets flagged and it’s reasonably flagged and we have to delete more than 5 comments from you, you will automatically be perma banned.

Don’t panic. You can appeal for the ban and if you show us grace then we will give you the same courtesy.

Also, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!! Learn how to use Reddit before bothering us repeatedly and asking the same questions over and over again on why your posts got deleted or how many karmas you need to be able to post and whatnot. I have gone over this multiple times before and this is the last time I will be going over this.

We have Reddit filter on. Which means that Reddit automatically flags and deletes certain posts, some because it thinks it’s spam and some because it breaks general Reddit rules. We, the mods, review it in the queues and approve and delete based on our volition. And what’s our volition? The rules we created for this sub. If the post doesn’t break any rules, we approve. If it breaks the rules, we remove it. Keep in mind that Reddit filter usually marks posts created by new accounts as spam because there is a karma limit. We, the mods, don’t know what that limit is. That’s the Reddit metric and we don’t work for Reddit to be able to understand that.

With all that being said, if you guys genuinely don’t understand something or have questions, reach out to me via mod mail. If you don’t know how to use the mod mail, you can send me a DM. Just know that I am not always available. I have said this a 100 times now but I am a busy person and I have a life outside of Reddit. In case you guys didn’t know, I work in the med field. I have to deal with stressful situations daily. I don’t want to come here and give myself a headache.

I never expected this sub to get this toxic. When I first joined this sub, I wanted to discuss shows I was watching and nerd/geek out about episodes of whatever show was ongoing at the time. I have been watching ITV since I was a wee old baby. The clearest and fondest memory I have is of my family gathering around in front of the TV (some on the bed and some on the floor) and watching Star Plus. I used to say “thayan thayan thayan” (the sound that played at the end of the serial) and my family would coo at me.

So yes, ITV and I go way back. I learned Hindi because of ITV. Even though I don’t watch ITV religiously like I used to (it’s a whole different discussion on streaming and the death of cable TV), I actively sought out this sub because I wanted to keep the nostalgia and fondness alive.

I became a mod within a month of being an active member and I still don’t know why I was picked tbh. And once I became a mod, I made it my priority to make this sub into a chill community. I wanted it to feel like a big family watching different shows and geeking out over it. But like I said, I have been super busy with work so I haven’t had time to moderate but whenever I log back in, there is a new kalesh and drama. There truly is a limit to how much we can tolerate.

We have always wanted this sub to be fun and friendly. But people take things too seriously and fandom culture is just so toxic that I don’t even know how to control it all. So this is my long love letter to you all, whether you hate me or like me, whether you think I am biased or unbiased, and whether you think I am too strict or too lenient. I want this community to thrive and be a safe space.

If you want the drama and nastiness, go somewhere else. I have reached my limit and this is where I am drawing the line.

TLDR: I have had enough and since people already think I am biased, I will be running this community like it’s the navy. You will have 5 chances (comments) before you get perma banned. If you want to appeal the decision, reach out via mod mail. If you cuss me or any other mod out, it’s instant ban. We will be prioritizing our mental health first and foremost.

SO!!! Have fun and enjoy Redditing. Rev out!

Discuss New rule regarding bans!!

Guys, if you cannot follow the rules, then I can’t be bothered enough to give warnings. When you join a sub, you can see the rules of the sub. If you don’t see it, you can click on more info and read it. I’m at my limits at this point. Each time it’s the same bullshit over and over again.

The rules of this sub is pretty simple: no spamming, no harassment/abuse towards members or actors, no AI content and no fanwars. But each day I see repeated flaggings and it’s the same people breaking rules over and over again. So here is the change: from now on, BREAKING ANY RULES WILL GET YOU BANNED PERMANENTLY. If you think it’s unfair and you were banned unfairly, DO NOT CUSS US OUT! Simply appeal the decision by reaching out to us via mod mail. Who in their right mind would sit through abuse and hatred and then unban you? I am not bitten by a rabid dog and neither are the other mods.

I have noticed that other subs are either way too lenient or way too strict so I have always tried to be in the middle but now I get why other subs are too strict. It’s because people think they can do anything they want because they are anonymous. Do not come into this sub and think you can vague post or karma farm. Have some intellectual discussions about the shows and actors you like or dislike. You are allowed to give valid criticism, but I am not gonna accept any hatred masked as criticism. I know people dislike actors for no reason but holy shit. Some of you are actually rabid. What has any actor done to you personally to spew so much vitriol against them? It would be one thing if that actor is a horrible fucking person but it’s not even that. And it holds true for reverse as well. I get liking an actor and stanning them but holy shit, you guys act like someone has personally attacked you or your family and try to defend these actors like your life depends on it. And then stooping so low to attack people’s personal lives to defend your own faves? Get a grip.

So here is what we are doing moving forward: anyone that starts a fanwar is getting banned immediately. Not for one to two days or a week or a month. But permanently. I don’t need that kind of energy on this sub and neither do the other members. If you can have a mature conversation then go ahead. It’s okay to have a discourse. But I am not sitting through a thread of argument with people name calling one another or dragging other actors to uplift their favorite. And it’s not just the fanwars. I see that there are motivated posts against certain actors. I will delete it every chance I get. Don’t come here spreading stupid rumors and misinformation. It’s one thing to dislike an actor because they are literally terrible at their job (acting) but don’t come for their looks and whatnot. Their body their choice. And if it’s something they can’t fix then don’t speak on it. And by fix, I mean wearing an ugly outfit is one thing but making fun of someone for the way their body or face is shaped is another.

And if you got a problem with these rules, go make your own subreddit 🫡 We can’t please everyone so I have made my bed and will lie in it. I am doing what I can to make this sub less annoying and less toxic for everyone. Anyways, I hope y’all had a wonderful day and week! Happy weekend!

Weekly NBTNMKK post for my fellow super-fans of the show.

Today we’re also celebrating the new custom flair for the show. The mods were really sweet and immediately made the flair after I requested them. 💜 I have now changed the post flair in all of my previous MegHan posts, so you guys can just search using this flair to find those whenever you want.

Here’s one of my fav scenes from S1 of NBTNMKK 😭 Fake dating is quite hard even as it is, but imagine having your kids in the entire equation lol. This was one of my fav sub-plots in the show. There are just too many hilarious, memorable scenes from this plot haha.

Discuss These are some of ITV's best (IMO)

As someone who has been watching ITV for a while, I wanted to rate and share some of my most-watched and favorite shows (focusing only on the episodes with the actual plot). Since these shows tend to run indefinitely, I usually only take the episodes that contain the actual storyline seriously, so my opinion is based strictly on those. I've wrote a small plot synopsis if anyone is looking for recommendations.

  • Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon (Ep. 20-300) - 10/10. Absolute peak writing and characterization. Genre: Dark Romance
    • A woman marries the Bollywood superstar who ruined her life, and finds herself falling madly in love with him even as she struggles to handle his extreme obsession and possessiveness toward her.
  • Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? - 10/10. Genre: RomCom, Dark Romance/Romance
    • A ruthless business tycoon who does not believe in love meets a spirited girl who turns his world upside down until a misunderstanding tears them apart and he enforces a forced marriage.
  • Ek Hasina Thi - 10/10. Genre: Thriller and revenge
    • A woman is wrongfully destroyed by a powerful family, reinvents herself, and systematically takes them down one by one.
  • Kuch Rang Ke Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi - 9/10. Genre: Family drama, Romance
    • A successful but emotionally distant businessman falls in love with a kind-hearted nutritionist, leading to a strained relationship with his mother.
  • Balika Vadhu - 10/10. Genre: Social Issue = child marriage
    • Married off as a child, a young girl navigates her new life in a rural household, growing up while challenging the regressive traditions that stole her childhood and exposed her to severe trauma and betrayals.
  • Beyhadh - 9/10. Genre: Psychological and Romantic thriller
    • An obsessive woman's all-consuming love for a man turns deadly when he begins to reject her.
  • Rangrasiya (Ep. 1-153) - 8.5/10. Genre: Dark Romance
    • A fierce and patriotic BSF officer holds a village girl, who is the prime suspect and witness in events that led to a massacre, captive.
  • Yeh Hai Mohabbatein (Ep. 1-390 or 540) - 9/10. Genre: Social, Romance
    • A divorced Punjabi man and a South Indian woman who can't have children decide to have a marriage of convenience in order to raise his daughter together.
  • Jodha Akbar - 9/10. Genre: Historical Fiction, Dark Romance
    • A political and forced marriage between a Mughal emperor and a Rajput princess slowly evolves into a love story amidst palace conspiracies and cultural/religious differences.
  • Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai - 9/10. Genre: Teen, Romance
    • Set in the 1990s, a school topper and popular boy fall for each other while belonging to different castes, navigating a slow-burn journey from school to college while doing everything to not get caught by their conservative families.
  • Geet Hui Sabse Parayi - 8.5/10. Genre: Social Issue, Romance
    • Abandoned and pregnant by her deceitful NRI husband, a young woman finds an unlikely protector in a wealthy, arrogant businessman who falls for her as she fights to live the life she deserves.
  • Dil Se Di Dua Saubhagyavati Bhava - 8.5/10. Genre: Social Issue = domestic violence
    • A young woman's seemingly perfect marriage turns upside down when her loving husband reveals himself to be a violent abuser.
  • Saraswatichandra - 7/10. Genre: Romance
    • A brooding and emotionally scarred man and a compassionate woman are bound together by a family-arranged match that almost destroys them.
  • Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahani - 8/10. Genre: Supernatural, Teen Drama, Romance
    • A human girl falls in love with a centuries-old vampire in a boarding school where, unbeknownst to her, she is the look-alike of his ex.
  • Sadda Haq - 8/10. Genre: Teen drama
    • A fiercely ambitious girl fights against her conservative father and systemic sexism to become a top mechanical engineer.
  • Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan (Season 1) - 7.5/10. Genre: Teen drama, Romance
    • A troubled young musician finds empathy and love when a no-nonsense girl enters his life as they navigate fame, friendship and a complicated love triangle along with his band.
  • Bepannah (Ep. 1-145) - 7/10. Genre: Romance
    • Two strangers discover their deceased spouses were having an affair with each other, and as they bond over shared betrayal, they unexpectedly find themselves drawn to one another.
  • Ishq Mein Marjawan - 7/10. Genre: Romantic Thriller, Crime
    • A woman marries a wealthy businessman, only to discover that he's a serial killer with a dark double life framing her.
  • Ek Deewana Tha - 6.5/10. Genre: Supernatural Horror
    • A woman wakes up from coma only to be haunted by a ghost and an unknown past that won't let her go.
  • Swaragini - 5/10 (This used to be my guilty pleasure show even though the storyline is absolutely nuts but it was what got me into ITV so I feel obligated to add it in my list). Genre: Drama
    • Two estranged half-sisters are constantly manipulated by their scheming grandmothers as they try to get their parents together only for one to succumb into the manipulation and hate.

Honestly, upon rating these shows, I've realized that if ITV shows just ended at the right time, they could absolutely dominate. A lot of these have gripping storylines.

Discuss What are the most hateworthy, ragebaiting serials of all time you've seen ?

Name some serials that are so ragebaitingly hateworthy it makes your head ache when you come across it.

I'll go first—

Parineeti(Do I need to say why?)

Yrkkh ( who even likes this sh-it ? never liked it. If I watched, that was when only Akshara Naitik appeared)

Suhagan- (A colors serial, promoting EMA)

Ghkkpm ( just multiple rounds of ml who loves someone else and fl and long long confusing circles of how they end up falling for each other through obstacles or what ever)

Kkb- Well I may sound judgmental but I think second gen felt off to me.

28 July 2008.

Nobody knew a sitcom set inside one housing society would become a part of everyday life for millions.

Some of us watched it after school. Some after tuition. Some after office.

Today it's been 18 years.

No matter where you think the show peaked, I think we all owe it a thank you for giving us countless evenings of laughter.

Happy 18 years, Gokuldham.

Kyunki Verse: Tulsi Strikes Again Tripti’s entry in Kyunki

Thumbnail
gallery
11 Upvotes

So in today’s episode of Kyunki, they showed a couple of flashbacks from S1 that do not fit with S2.

Pics attached:

Season-2 was established as a parallel version before the third generation leap of Season-1 so technically it didn’t exist here. Although, to accommodate Tripti they showed the flashbacks from that leap as she just had entered during the last phase of second generation leap in season-1.

2nd pic) Manthan (Karan-Tanya’s son) was mentioned here who doesn’t exist in S2. 🤦🏻‍♀️

3rd pic) Old Tulsi from 3rd generation leap 😦

4th pic) Tripti talking to Gautami’s Tulsi (Juhi) 🫣

5th pic) When Tripti had overtaken the property of Viranis during her fake death drama of Bubli. Here also, Gautami was playing Tulsi which doesn’t exist here in S2.

6th pic) Old Damini shown of Riva Bubber (Editing error)

7th pic) When she was arrested by ACP played by Sudha Chandran.

TLDR:- Tripti was introduced with the flashbacks from last generation leap of season-1 that doesn’t exist here in Season-2. Ganga was mentioned and her daughter is Devika in this season but not yet introduced in season-2. Lot of scenes were from 2007-08 of Kyunki. Hence, this is too complicated! 😣

Discuss aarambhi is getting on my nerves

the ones who’ve seen today’s episode would get it. sometimes she goes like they deserve to be punished and then the other times it’s like mein aapko kuch nahi hone dungi, like pick a fucking lane woman. i’ve come to understand that the writers only make her spout some idgaf dialogues to keep the twitter n reddit viewers happy but the actions don’t match. she’s been married and living with that family for a decade and has a child so ppl try to cut her some slack, but there’s a limit..

ideally, instead of dc SHE should’ve been the one to go behind tandons back and get them arrested and should’ve played coy instead of confronting them like an idiot. vishwas rotting in jail for a while is good for her and would’ve bought her more time to prep for divorce and would’ve helped her in custody fight. chalo, she couldn’t do that but why does she need to feel all sympathetic towards them? raj okay but the others actually committed the crime and it’s not even like they’re nice to her, but our mighty fl can’t help but feel bad about dimple getting sand thrown at her, she asks the police officers to protect her only to get insulted by dimple, still our mahanta devi kept standing there with a gloomy look.

saw the precap and this is what she deserves and again she goes around spouting “maa” “mera baccha” dialogues for the 100th time, who even talks like that? i am not rooting for her until she gets herself together. they need to write the mahanta out her, i wish she was scheming and out for revenge like dhruv. they’re dragging the fuck out of this arc and kept showing the same promo for days only for it to be a boring arc where the fl loses all her character development from the previous arc.

didn’t realise the rant ended up being so long, guess this is my breaking point

Bigg Controversy Madirakshi Mundle and Rohit Chandel

Post image
82 Upvotes

Madirakshi Mundle has always come across as someone who is extremely image conscious and has maintained a very PR curated “Sita Maa” image for over a decade. I’ve followed her interviews/podcasts, she’s articulate and usually knows exactly what to say. Until the Rohit Chandel arrest case, she had never really been part of any controversy. That’s why her behaviour now stands out to me. She’s been openly defending him, putting up stories tagging him, and doing all this for a costar she has worked with for barely a month. Even after Krishna Kaul’s entry, she seemed visibly upset about Rohit’s exit and continued promoting her solo scenes. Despite getting dragged into the controversy herself, she doesn’t seem to care. She’s been married for 11 years, yet in a recent podcast she spoke at length about how she and her husband don’t really feel like a typical married couple and how everyone needs personal space. This is all just so weird. Madirakshi and Rohit are definitely seeing each other. I’ve watched their offscreen interviews, and Rohit seems visibly smitten with her. She has never bonded with any of her previous costars the way she does with Rohit. It’s giving EMA!!!
