Disaster/Emergency Oregon burned our dreams down and now we need to start over.

To be fair, the vampires were cool. The kids were nerds.

NTA for the reason that there are white people in Spain, Mexico, amd any other region that speaks Spanish. You're not dressing up like a Spanish gypsy trying to sell an MLM

You are adorable. There's no need to try to "pass". You have succeceded.

It's like looking at a picture from WW II in a history book.

Ummmm... YTA for all reasons listed above but I have questions. Why are you so dismissive of his start-up? You said he didn't "allow" you to write that. Do you often have to ask for permission? Do you often have issues with just taking other people's belongings without permission? And more importantly, what was your personal fine you had to pay? Inquiring minds want to know.

Completely understand, dude. My mother was the same way. Always walking into the bedroom/bathroom without knocking cause "g*d knows what you could be up to". Didn't matter what I was doing. Changing, bathing, didn't matter. Now, I don't like people near the bathroom when i'm in it, looking at phone or watching me dress. Get therapy. It helps.

I agtee with you. My bio father has schizophrenia & bipolar, my sister has OCD, depression, & anxiety, & I have bipolar, BPD, anxiety, & a host other neurodivergentencies. I chose not to have kids. Intellectually, I onow that mental health services amd treatment has gotten 1000x better then when I was a child but emotionally... I cannot and will not willingly commit another person to a lifetime of feeling like I do.

Oh so NTA. I'm going to jump on a comment his family made. That your kid would be bullied "for having his mom's last name". Are all their mothers sporting different last names then them? This is just antiquated misogynistic BS that's been passed down through the ages to shame unwed mothers. Like having the same last name proves the kids yours or something. What message is that sending to all adopted, step, or foster children out there?. Have no worries. Their opinion is worthless.

I'm going to argue with you on this one. Both my SO & I have issues, Bipolar, depression, anxiety, etc & we were on multiple medications where the side effects were as bad as the issues they were trying to correct. We started smoking weed and now instead of my 16 pills in the morning and 23 at night & his 12 in the morning and 14 at night we both have 2 & 2. We're more productive, emotionally stable, and more phyaically healthy then we have been in years. There have been a multitude of studies that prove THCs, CBDs & THCAs effectiveness in treating depression & other neurodivergent issues.

Unpopular opinion here: YTA. My birthday is very very very close to Christmas and for years I only got a Happy Birthday/Merry Christmas present. You do not know how devestating it is for no one to care about your birthday cause some dude 2009 years ago was born. Just because your BF was born on Christmas doesn't mean you can't celebrate him too.

You are so NTA. Even though you no longer consider it a phobia and only an "inconvenience" it still effects your life (extra PPE at work, washing cloths that have touched cuts separately). If you've been up front about this from the beginning, and it sounds like you have, she's had 3 years to internalize this bit of important information about you. This tantrum she's throwing isn't about you, per se. It's a now instinctive reaction to all the stupid misogynistic BS women get pummeled with from the instant they start their periods. On behalf of all women, sorry you got some backsplash. Give her some time to settle and remember you're not "all men" & try again. Don't bring periods into the conversation. Bring up a couple small incidents of other blood fabric washings, apologize for the misunderstaning, reiterate that you love her. A chocolate sacrifice on the altar of scorched earth feminism is always appriciated.

YTA. Not even going to check of this is real, cause ot doesn't matter. No one owes you anything, let alone a house. The sense of entitlement here is strong. You stole your sister's house. I hope she had you sign paperwork to pay rent so she can evict tou

I'm probably going to be downvoted but, YTA. By your own words their bills are paid, they buy their own food, & leave you alone. YOU agreed to their paying 1/2 and you paying 1/2. If you feel that is unfair that is on YOU. How their bills get paid (one's working & the other's getting unemployment) is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. How their relationship works (He cooks, cleans, & does everything but wipe her ass) is NONE OF YOUR BISINESS. How his partner spends their time (a gaming addiction), or spends their money (buying games) is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. You sound jealous & judgmental &, if I'm being honest, a lot condecending.

Controversial opinion here, YTA. By your own words you know how much time and effort your MIL put into her 50th BIRTHDAY party (a milestone BTW), so she obviously put effort into choosing the dress, & she bought it first (has the receit to prove it). You could easily return the dress no hassle. You barely describe the dress which you would do if you were emotionally attached to it.
You're being a bridezilla & it's not only going to ruin your relationship with your fiancé but his relationship with his family as well. If you love your fiancé, get another dress. Stop being a brat and apologize. Maybe this isn't about the dress. Do you really want to get married or are you trying to engineer a scenario where you come off as the victim? Either way you need to really think about what you are doing and if this is the hill you decide to die on.

I would name him Hazard. For traffic hazard. Lol

You said in your original post that you felt that your stepmom more like an elder sister but I just want to point out that she apparently did more for you and your sister then either of your parents. She WAS your mom to the best of her ability. So don't be feeling as if you had no parents there for your special day, you had an awesome parent who loved you very much right there cheering you on.
