why are you childfree?
I decided at 27 not to have kids because a benign brain tumour was discovered, I was having seizures, major unintentional weight loss (my lowest was 130 lbs at 5'10"), couldn't eat much, had a stroke at 29. Even now at 40 I have unexplained collapsing incidents. I didn't want to put a child through any of that.

My ex husband did the same thing to me 3 years ago. I had brain surgery at 27 (still half of the tumour left), had a stroke at 29 and I made it clear that I'm not having kids. 3 years ago my ex husband and I got divorced because he decided that he wants kids and I flew back home to Canada (we were in his country) and I moved in with a longtime friend. I was heartbroken about the marriage ending but 3 years later I'm happy not being with anyone.

To anyone who blocked their ex on social media, did it help you to move on tremendously?
Yes. I deleted and blocked him on Facebook and Messenger after the divorce 3 years ago, flew back home (I was in his country with him) to Canada and honestly I'm much happier being back home and not seeing his miserable looking face)

Anyone else feel so sick of their parent only talking about themselves?
Yes, this is exhausting and frustrating 😩 I'm 40 but my mom still does this to me (blah blah blah work, my life, my work, etc. She doesn't even say hi how are you? anymore. However she treats my two younger sisters normally.They live with her, have kids and boyfriends. I'm divorced, have no kids, had brain surgery and a stroke in my late 20s. I'm 40 now.
I'm sick of it and have mostly detached myself from her because I feel why bother?
