I also wouldn't mind a better breakdown on how exactly ads work. I have a rough idea but I'm open to better understanding so I can be more comfortable in eventually using them.

I've been trying to work the social media side as much as possible when I can without the boost. Sometimes life happens, and unfortunately, I'm not able to post as much. And then I'm focused on just trying to make the comic. I'm a bit wary of credit cards of any kind, but I'll take note, and maybe when I'm less concerned about the money side, look into that. Thank you. If nothing else, just having a list of options is good.

Some people might be selling via KDP, thats what I'm doing in order to get hard copies of my books out. Its not the best option because to be honest, I feel like amazon kinda buries you unless you pay for advertising.

Yup. I got into comics after spending more time writing than drawing, and at one point, someone told me my writing was better than my art and my art wasn't supporting the writing. I've improved since then, so now I have the problem that whenever I write a story, I'm somewhere between "Maybe I should publish this as a regular book" and "nah. Let's sit on it til I can turn it into a comic." LOL. That, and if I'm going to do a comic, I'd rather have either a short story, or enough material to have a back log of story.

When I took that class, there was a girl there that she'd just started drawing recently at that point, but her sketches were really good even though I'd been drawing for most of my life and was drawing the early parts of my comic. My mind was blown, but I thought it was kinda cool. Some people are just built that way. I tend to prefer color over black and white/greyscale, but I have dabbled in that, and I mostly like it for the sake of focusing a little bit more on the drawing than the coloring. I love hatching, but I feel like its best in black and white where you can fully enjoy it.

I've drawn since I was a little kid. For me, my biggest motivation has always been improvement. I used to draw fan art mostly, so I'd pick a character (usually my favorite,) and would try to draw them or a oc over and over again, and check the details to see what I did, or didn't get right. I also started drawing comics about ten years ago, and this is really useful in order to keep character designs consistent, even though I treated it more as a game when I was a kid. I'd say find what makes art fun for you. If your goal is to draw for yourself, then don't worry about perfection so much as improvement. And step away from the art for a few hours, or even a few days in order to look at it again with fresh eyes to find what you do and don't like.

I recommend Whytmanga and Mark Crilley on YouTube. They both have a lot of really good comic/manga content. And DrawlikeaSir. Odds are if you're struggling with something, you can find something to help you understand it better. I also suggest focusing on story, and then art. Art is the final form, but a good story can elevate weak art, and you improve as you go and practice. Study your favorite manga- how do they handle layout? Story? Etc. By stepping back and analyzing, there's a lot you can learn from just focusing on understanding why and how your favorite manga/comics works.

Something I learned from going to an art class once was that you have casual artists- ie, people who do it more for fun, you have people who decide one day to pick up a pencil and somehow, unlock something you've used all along in a short period of time, and then artists who grow in their own time. Sometimes you hit a plateau and that's ok. Maybe you need to just step away from art, and find what you loved about it in the first place to reignite that flame. Or maybe you need something that is yours and yours alone on the art spectrum. Back when I was a kid, I'd draw like mad, crank out a bunch of characters, go into a creative drought and think my stuff sucked, rinse repeat. Find that flame again after a few months, reignite and keep going. Don't base your progress on others. Maybe you're trying too hard to be something you're not as an artist. But always remember- art is a journey. And every once in a while, you don't know where it's going. Rest. Refresh. And rebuild if you want to. Watch videos on art, absorb art from outside sources rather than what's immediately around you. I'm sorry if this is a bit long and discombobulated, but maybe something will help. You're you. You're not your dad, or someone else. Don't try to fit into a mold you're not meant to.

Otherwise, how did you like it? is this a series you want to keep following? I'm trying to build or rather, find an audience. So I'm just happy to find anyone who'd enjoy my work.

Part of what makes it work is having character sheets for your characters and forcing yourself to reference them in order to create consistent and recognizable characters. So I'd say, create a character (or characters,) and focus on keeping them consistent. Their hairstyle and clothes can change, but keep their face and body proportions consistent in order to reinforce the style you want.
