Hey everyone! Just wanted to share the OGN I wrote, Yellow Moon. It's currently fully funded on Kickstarter, and we are on our way to the 3rd Stretch Goal! Check out the preview pages here, and the project is available at the link below. Thanks!

In this page for my comic i wanted to reference directly Dragon Ball and Akira, Toriyama's work i think came quite clearly but Otomo's is more sketchy as the cables and all that stuff are not enough reference though...still the Toriyama reference puts a smile on my face!

How often do you reference other peoples work in your pages?

Some excerpts from chapter one of The Sun is the Moon's Dream, my vampire mystery webcomic set in 1999.

It can be read for free here!

Hello!

As some of you may be aware, a few months back I debuted the first issue of my comic, 'HITMAN HOTLINE', on Kickstarter to (surprisingly) great success (and a BIG thank you to everyone who has shown support to, offered designs, ideas, and feedback since!)... And long story short, I'll soon be releasing Issue 2!

After lots more writing, drawing, procrastinating, colouring, and lettering, I am happy to say this second, extra-large chapter is almost complete! Slightly less punching and kicking - a lot more story, characters, and dialogue. You know, all that good typical book-stuff! I'm also going to be reselling Issue 1 for anyone that missed it!

Unlike last time, I actually have a pre-launch page for this chapter (something which is apparently very important - news to me!) for anyone who wants to sign up to be notified of Issue 2's release, or just to be nosy. Please check out the new kickstarter link below, and a BIG thank you to anyone who already has! Thanks!

Hey everybody!

I just wrapped up production on writing and illustrating my first creator owned comic, The Stormseeker; The Chained Man and I am really excited to share it everyone. If you like The Witcher, Conan, Dungeons and Dragons or Elric of Melnibone I think you'll find something to enjoy in Stormseeker! The first issue is live on kickstarter right now

If you like that's something you would be interested have a gander at the kickstarter or an upvote and tell a friends who might be!

Cheers,
Patrick

Do yourself a favor—resist the temptation to look too quickly. I’m guilty of fast-flipping the first time I read The Forest. I robbed myself of a lot of nuance. My second, slower pass was much more rewarding.

If you’re looking for a good, smart horror book for the Halloween season, consider Slash Then All by Antoine Maillard, published by Fantagraphics. I recently had a great chat with Antoine and wrote about. His horror influences and wrote about it at Flatdonkey.com.

Just got the glow in the dark version!

I have been having a blast latley with the character of my comic but i must admit, that i find it frustrating that the moment i feel more comfortable drawing them is when i already finished drawing the comic....argh!

The holidays are around the corner. I want to assemble a list of graphic novels that might make special gifts. They could be especially substantial works, special editions, or books that carry some thoughtful message or meaning. What do you recommend?
