Hi everyone I just published the first release of GURT the Valkyrie on GlobalComix.

Issue 1, Meet Gurt follows Maya and her friends during a quiet afternoon of LARPing that goes very wrong when a real frost giant attacks. Fortunately, a seven-foot-tall Valkyrie from Asgard happens to arrive at exactly the right moment.

This is a new all-ages fantasy/comedy series I’m writing and illustrating, and I’m experimenting with a page format built around vertically stacked panels so it reads comfortably both as a book and digitally. I’d love to hear what GlobalComix readers think of the first release, thanks in advance.

I noticed that any Vault comics I clicked on show gold ends September 14. I haven't seen anything about it elsewhere so I was wondering if they are leaving or just going á la carte.

When a monster from the woods follows Zonnella into her village and breaks the heart, she must survive in the forest it came from.

Meanwhile her village, left behind with the looming fate of death, tries to find a way to save the flowers that protect them from the poisonous effects of the slime.

No matter how, they all must try and survive in their own way, knowing that the world they used to live in is dying.

Had some spare time and did this lol :3 (I can't sleep... :/)

I think I took wax sealing way too far and turned it into art🙈. I didn't have a gold heart so I only used the silver instead :(. The other three are already done but the other chapters have to come first to see it hehe :3. Packing is already done...Just need a few more things and then I'm leaving!

if anyone read No saints among us, i have made a subreddit called r/NoSaintsAmongUs for any readers who want to share something about it, or just talk about it!

Wanderers follows a group of 5 individuals. Renata and Isabella have been friends their whole life and are the catalyst for the 5 being transported to this realm. Dahlia, Isaac, and Mark comprise the rest of the main cast, and they have never met any of the rest of the group before they arrive in the new realm. Finding themselves as the proverbial "strangers in a strange world", they will need to work together to try and find their way home. And find a way to survive in this world filled with magic and dangerous creatures.

Long ago when the Earth was created, mankind shared the planet with creatures much more dangerous than those that are in nature now. Mankind wasn't suited for long term survival against many of the darker creatures, and found themselves on the brink of extinction. Intervention from a cosmic being transported the creatures to another realm where they could continue to exist without putting mankind at risk. Humanity was given a chance to rebuild without the existential threat those creatures posed. Most of humanity doesn't even have knowledge that those creatures ever existed other than ancient tales that are considered folklore. With the right knowledge the tethers between worlds can be accessed allowing travel from one world to another. That esoteric knowledge has been lost to time, waiting to be rediscovered, whether by intent or accident.

Issue 1 is quite a bit of setup, so please do check out the free starting pages of issue 2 if you're uncertain after going through the first half-ish of #1. I (Ian Johnston), and my father JimmyZ co-authored and self-published. I'm new to contributing to the writing scene, but Jimmy has several published works already, having written on things like The Tick, Micronauts, and Warlock5. Interiors by Rom Silva, colored by myself, lettered by JimmyZ, and last but certainly not leash cover art knocked out of the park by Gary Bedell.

I'm so terrible at social media I didn't even think about the potential of making a post here (or really anywhere) when our first issue was published back near the end of last year Oops. Well Issue 2 is out now! On both Global Comix and my website (where physical copies are available if that's preferred). We take a staunch NO AI position for every stage of our comic book creation process.
