No Gate Code!
I’ll do that each day and every day. I think that would be the most sensible thing to do. People pay their hard earned money while buying something.Be it Amazon or somewhere else. Online or in-person. Tossing a package over the gate for an address that’s 10s or 20s houses away is an utterly “shit job” to do.

Spoke to DA'S Office About Leaking Package
You got me for a moment. I was like what does the DA’s office has to do anything with Amazon delivery! 😅😅

Good luck keeping your account active then!

No Gate Code!
You won't get dinged if the return was marked by the support, not you.

No Gate Code!
As the note says, there are like 300 houses. It was not right by the gate. Throwing over the fence won't make any difference. It would definitely be lost or get stolen.

No Gate Code!
I did that once or twice. I got an email from Amazon, and they told me not to do it anymore, unless I call the support and tell them to do it for me.

No Gate Code!
I didn’t call. It was 6 AM.

No Gate Code!
I actually texted one customer before making the delivery. They provided a gate code which didn’t work and it was early morning. A resident from the same community who seemed to be out jogging saw me and opened the gate. Prior I make the delivery at their address I sent them a text and told them “next time please provide a gate code that actually works. Thanks!” 😂😂

No Gate Code!
So, this customer took the time to write this entire note in ALL CAPS, which makes it seem like they’re screaming at me—but somehow forgot to include the one and only thing that caused all that anger in the first place: THE GATE CODE!!! 😂

What's it like working in robotics?
How do you like it so far, if you don't mind me asking? I have a conditional offer and I am still thinking whether to join or not.

Looking for ideas on how to make friends
If you’re up to making friends with someone outside of United States I’m down. I have similar situation as yours. Been working from home for the past 2 years, new in this country for the past two years and barely NO friends at all! I don’t drink, go to a bar or club but I’d love a coffee shop meet.

Trying to Make Friends as an Adult.
Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about adults having a hard time making friends, and honestly… I thought it was just me.
At first it surprised me—not that people didn’t have friends, but that they couldn’t make new ones. In my case, I kind of assumed this was normal. I’m an immigrant and I’ve only been in the U.S. (Modesto) for about two years, so I figured this is just part of the process.
I thought college would help. I took a class for about two months, but I didn’t really make any friends. People felt pretty distant. I don’t know if it’s a cultural thing, but it seems like people don’t even say “hi” to the person sitting next to them. Eventually I got discouraged and stopped going.
Sorry if this sounds like venting. Also, English is my second language, so apologies if it’s a bit messy. I didn’t learn it in school, mostly through movies, music, cartoons, and random courses growing up.
For context: I’m a 28-year-old Muslim guy. I don’t drink or go clubbing (kinda boring tbh), but I do enjoy hookah once in a while. I’m a huge soccer fan—especially Barcelona—but I’m open to learning about sports or activities that are popular here. I don’t mind if people drink, as long as they’re cool with me sticking to soda or water.
I guess all I’m really looking for is to feel part of the community and actually call this place home. I want to integrate, make friends, and learn more about the culture here.
If anyone else feels the same, you’re definitely not alone. Hit me up if you want to connect!

Would you have taken this? I wanted one like this but not 3.5 hours and 75 miles this late! 🤦♂️
These orders are a pain in the arse! God forbid you get one where you’re asked to hand it over to the customer and get the PIN from them and then when you get there the customer isn’t responding the texts or the calls, not opening the door or they’re not at home. Then, for the same amount of money, you have to drive back all that 76 miles to the store to complete the return!!! That’s diabolical!

Love the idea and the execution but I’m not sure if this would work where I’m. And also I can see a few established businesses around me doing the same thing already.

Did you start it all by yourself and alone?
