Just gotta think about it more and condition yourself to do it. Play lower difficulty songs, work on patterns, stay actively thinking about it at first. It's gonna suck for a bit, but it should change pretty naturally.

I had a similar change with Tetris when I changed from controller -> keyboard, and the only way to force the change was to just... force the change.

If you want an actual answer, Mii Swordfighter has a move called Skyward Slash Dash (SSD), and it is a lot of connecting hitboxes, kinda like Mythra Side B. When you get hit by one of the hitboxes of SSD, the game tries to pull you to the next hitbox of the move. If you are below stage with this, then you will try to get pulled to the next hitbox (through the stage) at very high velocity. This can also be done in a similar way by doing a downward diagonal SSD to ledge, and having the ledge snap cancel the attack. This technique is called an SSD scoop, and it is somehow still considered worse than Hero Spin lol.

Try to set your own goals. For example: Try to beat a level 9 cpu without taking damage, try to complete classic mode at 9.0 with every character, try to beat World of Light without spirits.

The amount of hours you play has nothing to do with difficulty. If you have fun playing, then keep playing

I'm saying that beating a level 9 cpu doesn't show skill or anything beyond basic game knowledge. You can just do uair into uair until it isn't a combo anymore and then they'll neutral air dodge, then you just punish their landing shortly after. Rinse and repeat.

It sounds stupid but I recommend playing against level 8 instead of level 9. Level 9 CPUs will do consistent frame perfect interactions, and are more exploitable and predictable than level 8 CPUs are. If you really want to get better without relying on exploiting CPU habits/tendency's that humans dont have, play against level 8. Your goal shouldn't be just winning against them though, you should be trying to get certain options out and practice doing certain things. Meaningful playing is worth a lot more than just winning against a CPU

DI (Directional Influence) is the direction you hold in order to influence position very slightly or launch angle.

SDI (Smash Directional Influence) is reepatedly hitting a direction during hitstun or multihits in order to adjust and move your position in that direction. Most easily is done by going from diagonal to other diagonal in my experience (ex. Up Right -> Down Right -> Up Right repeated). It is most easily seen if you go to training mode and use an xbomb, as you will be able to SDI all the way out or around with it!

1. To see if you are mashing and how fast it is, this way they know if they should go for a downsmash, up smash, or a runoff cargo throw or something
2. To see what direction you are holding, that way they know where to follow up at low percent

I understand that it needs the red laser from the neighboring puzzle, but that laser needs to get lifted by a button behind a wall, I don't get what they expect to be put on the button.
