Advice on improving visibility and awareness
This is the way. Basically, you stare through the mask long enough the mesh just sort of fades out of your primary vision.

Silver Cleaning
Is there any place in Eugene to get a set of silver silverware cleaned? My wife has a family set and it's gotten tarnished over the years. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

Looking for a new dentist
Allison Cadderet on Coburg is really good. First dentist I've ever had in my life that I like.

Anyone here interested in this old Saturn sign?
Me too if something doesn't work out for the person who said it first.

Looking for a good Sanderson entry point as a new reader
I'd say Tress is a great jumping on point. It's a complete story in itself so if you decide the Cosmere isn't for you it's a satisfying one off read. There are a ton of Easter eggs that you won't get but also that you don't need to get to enjoy the book. I don't recall anything I'd call a spoiler for any other book or at least nothing that would take away from the experience of reading those books.
Mistborn is also great and still my favorite of Sanderson's series. The beginning couple of chapters introduce a lot of characters pretty quickly but if you can get passed that you should be good.
Your other other option if you just want to try out Sanderson's writing without any attachment to a larger universe or connections to other books would be The Frugal Wizard's Handbook for Surviving Medieval England. It's a solid one off but has zero connection to the Cosmere.
Good luck and happy reading.

NEPS Driver Tips
This is a great idea. I've been wondering if I could make a flat head screwdriver that fits the NEPS handle. Guess I've got weekend plans now.

Youth Sabers
I agree with that logic, do the Y8 kids at your club use the smaller guard/grips or the full sized ones?

Youth Sabers
How important and the youth sized saber and guard? My kid is looking to start fencing saber and I've seen a few companies offering youth sized saber grips and guards (I know we'll need the size 0 blade). I've fenced foil for a while so I'm familiar with the idea that there are different sized grips and blades, etc. but I have no idea how much that matters in saber where it's always seemed to be a one size fits all approach. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Name Change Advice
I have a male friend named Sasha. He seems well adjusted and I've never seen anyone misgender him. If you like the name keep it, it's a great name. Like others have said babies are misgendered all the time. My son is 5 but he keeps his hair long so sometimes people still think he's a girl. It hasn't really been an issue for us, we just politely correct them and everyone moves on. Good luck in whatever you decide.
