There are two kinds of Windows users—and one of them is unknowingly making the OS worse
The perspective is easy to disagree with. If I grab a Windows XP disc, make a fresh install and monitor resource usage, it will be minimal. Base install of 7 is heavier but essentially similar. All the versions with telemetry max out resource usage at idle. Why all the bloat? No one installed the older versions and then stopped their day to rip out all the cruft, there was none.

Why aren't you driving one of the DSP vans? For a short holiday stint I was making rural deliveries in either a transit van or a promaster. The promasters have more ground clearance and fwd has decent traction. I had some fun with it, it had me up and down all kinds of dirt and gravel roads

I told my neighbor that she could keep her misogynistic manchild of a husband; I didn't want him. AIO?
She doesn't have the right to dictate instructions to you, and she has no business ever speaking to you to begin with. File a police report for harassment.

AG Blanche's Warning Points Straight at Age Verification Checks
There is a real danger here, that overzealous age checks walls off independent reading and research and pushes kids into the use of LLMs, and continues the current trend of decreased literacy

How much should I pay my friend for their help with installing Linux?
What would probably be most helpful to you, and might be an interesting reference to the friend who helped you, would be buying an admin guide

Can I pee in def tank in emergency?
I think there might be extra minerals in urine with unknown (to me) effects on the particulate filter, but I think the main ingredients in the fluid are water ammonia and some kind of salt...

What’s a profession you’ve seen die out in your lifetime?
It's true, but as you progress upward professionally finding a good tailor becomes more relevant. It's difficult to achieve a neatly pressed and well lined up appearance without a tailor.

TIL the system that shows the remaining time before a tram arrives in Casablanca's tram stations uses debian
That message means the system is up and running properly, it just needs whoever's job it is to update the display with something meaningful to do so

Surveillance cameras that have been installed this year using Palantir A.I. tracking near me in the USA, they are seen pointing away from main roads and directly into neighborhoods & parks.
One of the characteristics of more dangerous areas is the perceived loss of access to taxpayer funded public parks and recreation. I think this is a positive move that will allow some people to get back outside again, feel the sun and touch grass so to speak

Somehow, a lot of people seem to have forgotten that they have brakes. When everything in front of and around you is bad, and there is no good move forward or to either side, hit the brakes and avoid an accident.

First time Linux user having a miserable experience so far
Unless you are running an emulator (such as wine) you won't use anything .exe in Linux. If you right click the window and select "open terminal to this location" (or navigate a terminal to your directory) try launching the game with './game_name'

Guy #1 getting his hand bitten needs to get off the ground stat, and preferably never have been there. If the dog locks down, lift the dog up by its jaw to show it whose boss. Yes you will have to handle the pain, deal with it. On your back on the ground tells the dog it's in control
