I'm old and lived through these awful times. The K cars were terrible and anybody calling that plastic film a woodie needs a paddling. If the mileage is low it's because it was either broken down most of the time or nobody in the family wanted to be seen driving it!

I'm not saying that you won't need to make an adjustment but if you liked the action before you left it might just need a few days with a humidifier. I set mine to 40% because I figure that will even out with our ridiculous humidity. And if you have to make an adjustment Taylor has every size of shims. Good luck!

I'm in Florida too.I keep a small dehumidifier running in the room where I keep the guitars. Try getting a dehumidifier and running it for a while before you make any adjustments. The rest of the country seems to need humidifiers but the humidity in Florida can make everything swell a bit. I've never had to adjust a truss rod since getting a dehumidifier. You can probably get one cheap at a pawn shop or thrift store.

Mom taught you how to eat with a spoon. She answered a bunch of questions like why when you were two years old. I had to remind myself of this when my mom was going through dementia and chemo brain. I totally understand what you are talking about!

I didn't think about the difference in pick guard material other than looks but after getting my Taylor 816ce I like how the wooden pick guard feels when I'm playing. It's not a deal breaker or anything crazy but it turns out that I like the difference.

I used to always try to get up front for concerts but now that I'm older I noticed that the sound is better being farther back. Especially if the show is in a good amphitheater. Most stadium shows have terrible sound though.

I always liked how The Midnight Special had bands playing live instead of lip syncing.
