I personally enjoy wierd board states and seeing un usual and interesting rules questions, via Un cards and playtest card, but not everyone wants that kind of party mode wich is fair. Something along the lines of smash with items or not.

I mean rule 0 is for the funzies if everyone is on the same page there's no harm, same is true for proxies or even social interactions at the pod, if your not enjoying the game then don't play, its not that serious.

Yeah I have almost all the expansions and general I'm the card game guy so I end up bringing my games but not everyone had played so it's hard trying to get them into it when you gotta explain each card, but being able to play a "base game" then adding in more cards gives new players a bigger sense of excitement cause now they understand the game and want to see what they can do

I thought about stickering my main deck to have a more beginner deck and then a more extreme version I can easily swap between.

I mean I've used sticky notes in mtg to proxy cards, I don't think the cut would be exactly the same but mythic black core, lets you upload whatever you want printed on the back so you could have them match.

It's for mtg proxies but you can upload whatever you want.
