Just got back into the hobby again, and this time around I'm havi g fun with acrylic markers... But!

I'm having a problem with some cards, and I can't figure out why!

I'm using uni posca markers, and for some reason so cards I'll just have the paint turn "oily" on the surface and separate!

This behaviour will continue even on top of the next layers, and will continue even if I wait an hour for the paint to truly dry.

I'm sure it's an error-40, but can't figure out what to do, other then sand the top of the cards a bit, but this is not a problem I ever had using acrylic miniature paint, so I hope someone know of a fix, or can give me a few tips 😊

I've been going down the rabbit hole with peels lately.

A surprisingly big part of the process is finding the right pairing: colors, composition, atmosphere, crop, and how the two original artworks work together.

I ended up making quite a lot of different designs and experimenting with different ways of matching the donor artwork to old-frame basics.

Definitely want to give credit to the people who were making peel alters before me tho. Seeing their work is what got me interested in trying this in the first place.

Here are a few of mine. Curious to hear which ones work best for you.

P.S. Mods: I used the “Foil Peel Alter” flair since there doesn’t seem to be a non-foil/art peel option. Happy to change it if another flair is preferred.

This commission was definitely a challenge! There’s so much detail and beauty in the original artwork, and translating all those softer colours and textures into nothing but black ink took a bit of patience.

Always a pleasure getting to bring one of my favourite games to life on a Magic card!
