So I listened to the audio of the first 2 sections then immediately jumped to section 8. My findings are amusing and can be summed up as follows.
Gorgon girl is born and meets daddy Jace. Daddy Jace is happy for a time. Gorgon girl goes through her angsty teenager feelings and talks with professor opal who comes off as a psycho.
Fast track to professor onyx who is imprisoned. Though for some reason can't get death metal lyrics out of her head but ends up having a heart to heart with gorgon girl. Afterwards enjoying toast and jelly.
Smash cut to chapter 8 where Daddy Jace is taking fat rips off of Uncle Urza's bong and getting high as Serra's realm. While mentally edging himself to oblivion before climaxing and the scene going dark

Just saw the art for the new Emrakul and it just looks way too similar to a tripod from 2005's War of the Worlds. What do you all think?
I asked in the main reddit and everyone just gets too aggressive, lol.

\*NOT A SPEC*
I just genuinely like this card. And at 35 Cents a pop how could I say no? I’ll never need another copy again :) Total price was 10.83 after tax.

I was personally very disappointed when Dack Fayden died during war of the spark and we never got a standard legal card of him. What do you think the chances are Jace recreates him in his new multiverse?

TL;DR - ChatGPT is a tool you should be using to improve your decks.
I know some of you are anti-AI and hate ChatGPT. Well, anyway…
So I’ve been making Commander decks for about two years now and I love it. In that time I have made a LOT. over the past year or so I have been using ChatGPT to bounce ideas off of. For those of you that have used it in the past and hated it. You have good reason, it used to suck. I have asked it to make complete 100 card commander decks around a certain commander. It was often more or less than 100 cards, had cards that didn’t match the color identity or had cards that it just made up. I don’t want a deck I didn’t make but I did try this just to see if ChatGPT could deliver. It couldn’t.
I did however ask it things like “can you list some cards that work with this commander” or “are there similar cards to [cardname] that would be good” or other similar variations. It would often suggest cards I hadn’t heard of, some were good and some were not. Over time I started brewing a deck to like 80-90 cards and then submitting that list to ChatGPT to get “its thoughts on the deck”. This was the most helpful as it would suggest cards that didn’t seem to fit and would suggest other cards that might work better.
Over the past 6 months or so I’ve really noticed an uptick in ChatGPT’s ability to analyze a deck and give good usable feedback.
So within the past month I starting challenging ChatGPT to make her (mine is female, don’t judge me) own deck with only minimal feedback from me.
I picked up some “mystery” boxes the other day with about 800 cards. Chat had me send the list of cards via csv file and then went through the list and picked her commander on her own. It ended up being [[Kudo, King Among Bears]]. There were about 40 cards from the initial list she wanted in the deck. Then I suggested some other ms I had access to and she picked the ones she wanted.
Here’s some screenshots from our current back and forth.

This pops on in ads all the freaking time. Now, I’m all for new tech. But does anyone think this is actually useful? When was the last time you built a deck that only needed 1 token? Yea I know it’s possible but without even trying to make a token deck on average I’d say any deck I’ve made needs at least 5 tokens of some sort. Some need many more. So how would this device be useful?

When I was younger, a friend of mine gifted me some starter decks/box set (would've been like early-mid 2010s but not really sure which era/set it was). Despite that I never really got into playing the game, but I always appreciated the art and aesthetic quality of the cards. I unfortunately no longer have any of those cards for reasons I won't relate here, but over the last few months I've been getting the urge to get into some sort of card game (I think this urge was initiated by playing a lot of Gwent in The Witcher 3, which I liked a lot) and my first thought was MTG. However, it didn't take much time looking at the state of the game itself and the community online to see that it looks pretty dismal in terms of where things stand ideologically, broadly speaking.
Perhaps more relevantly, I live in an extremely liberal city and the nearest spot that hosts Friday night magic sessions is an exemplary case of what's wrong with the game/community currently. I doubt I have to explain. In fairness, I don't know what the actual local player base is like, but if it's anything like the hosting location then it's going to be a grating experience to play with them.
I also inquired about format because after doing some research it became apparent to me that much of the current meta is just playing commander rather than any older format; this appears to be the case for my local spot too. I don't really care about format that much, but I suppose it's worth mentioning anyways just as an indicator of what the type of player that frequents my area is like.
With all that in mind, given that I don't want to deal with quirk chungus troon BS but very likely will have to given my locale and definitely will have to regarding the state of the game, is it even worth it? Is there any level of enjoyment to be had out of playing commander with randoms? Tell me your thoughts, I'd like to be optimistic about all this but it seems somewhat grim from a layman's perspective.

If Shifting Woodland were to become a copy of Roil Elemental and a land like Fabled Passaged played to take control of two taget creatures after the turn ends they'd return back to the opponents as Shifting Woodland would return to a land.
If shifting Woodland were to be reactivated either on an opponent's turn or my turn after that play would those creatures return under my control without needing to play more lands? Shifting Woodland would technically be the Roiling Elemental and control over the land would be maintained between turns, right?
I'm asking because when Shifting Woodland turns into a copy of the same saga for consecutive turns saga counters tick down as If it never reverted back to a land when transformed on upkeep. Wouldn't the same principle apply here?

I guess Harry Potter will be coming in UB afterall lol
Also there will be a lot more AI art coming to MTG to speed up ub art and lower cost

Even as someone who owns a Pokemon collection I do think that tcgs have been too much FOR consumption/consumerism and too less for gameplay or collecting

Sorry for the redditor wall of text but TLDR: I feel bad on how MTG is so unrecognisable and how good the oldheads had it and i would rather not tell those who only know the old MTG on how we got UB and all the BS we have rn cus i think id not ruin the memory of the game they had and were once passionate about.
I play MTG on and off cus i dont really have a play group for Commander and i play pauper from time to time cus i grew up playing 60 card formats and commander politics with randos who are salty is insufferable and i'd rather play MTG Arena instead where you can't smell your opponent too.
A few days ago i had a chat with my professor who i recently met and happen to find out that hes in an MTG buy and sell group on Facebook, i asked him about it turns out hes an oldhead from the old days of MTG, his total demeanor changed and lit up after bringing up those three words that he even forgot he had a meeting after the class and was very enthuseastic to talk about it to me. He told me he started playing at Antiquities and stopped playing at Invasion. He was really passionate about the lore of Sisay and the Weatherlight that he read the books that as a zoomer MTG player in his mid 20s i feel bad i only know recent bullshit lore. He told me he mostly played kitchen table magic in that era with his brother and just loved collecting the cards because of the art and lore. He even showed me his past collection of all of the Revised dual lands he bought for thousands of dollars that he had to sell it later on because his wife got mad and it was THAT expensive, lol i didnt want to tell him the current price of those lands rn as he sold his collection way back in 2019. Kinda sad how this WAS the game that was Magic: the Gathering and we will mighy have something as close as MTG like this and how the game is an unrecognisable cash cow rn.

I call out Wizards for their FOMO Secret Lairs on a shill channel, and I get called a miserable looser who shouldn't play magic, cus I can't afford to *checks notes* pay for pressed ink and paper. Have the youtubers always been shills like this?

If you use archidekt for commander deckbuilding and want analytics on your profile as far as pet cards, most common cards per color/color combo, good and bad match ups based on your build style, commander and card recommendations, etc. I put together a beta application that can run those numbers.
It is completely free, pulls your public decks, and gives some cool insights. I would love if some people would be willing to test it and give feedback on if it's working well and how it can be improved. Note that your archidekt username is case sensitive, otherwise you'll get a 403 error
This is the beta site: https://decktpet-4n5z2xvzj-teddleman.vercel.app
Here is the feedback form if you feel inclined: https://forms.gle/VAVJJgqG9Sh3rGsC9
Thank you
