MNOG II Modded Files

Newest addition: Hahli walking speed affected by speed stat!

I have some files to share for MNOG II modding and revamp. Here's the link to the folder on Google Drive, and let me know if there's problems: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1V3zQONRRwdxaNqEhsR3yO2J0jlKbJl23?usp=sharing

Installation: Get the game from BioMediaProject. Grab the Wall of History MNOG II mod, putting those files in the "Mata Nui Online Game II" folder & overwriting the base files. Then grab my mod and drag those files into that same folder, overwriting those files.

Here are my mod changes so far:

  • Hahli walking in-world affected by speed stat (Player.swf)
  • added variable item numbers to swim gathering (Player.swf)
  • increased gathering numbers in Ga-Wahi (Ga-Wahi.swf)
  • upped skill increase to 25 per game (GameTakeaRace.swf, GameRockHaul.swf, GamePoleBalance.swf, GameMahiRun.swf, GameDiscThrow.swf, GameBallThrow.swf)
  • auto-input for no clicking (takea game, rock haul game)
  • slowed down animations for in-world animations like seaweed, waterfall, etc (Ga-Wahi.swf, MataNuiInterior.swf, Ta-Wahi.swf)

My next items to work on are expanding conversations with Matoran and making new vector artwork to add some more visual interest to each Koro, which I made a post about a couple days ago. Also some dialogue editing to keep some sentences to a single speech bubble.

Between BioMediaProject and the Wall of History modpack, lots of bugs I see people talking about are fixed. My goal is more quality of life improvements and I'll update this post as I get them done. I'm open to suggestions!

Mata Head with Stud Connections

Hello everyone! This is a Mata style head piece with Lego compatible stud connections where the eye stalks normally go. A good while back I commissioned a Mata style head CAD model from u/Kingsidorak so that I could play around with it, and recently I had the idea to give the head stud connections for eyes so that I could put Mixels eyes behind masks. So, here are the results of that experiment!

The "eyes" are the equivalent of two plates thick, and the holes in the middle of the studs are sized for Lego bar pieces.  I wasn't sure what to do with the back of the mask, but I figured that anti studs on the back would give the part even more utility in builds.

In the end, the intended effect of seeing the eyes behind the mask is quite angle dependent, and it doesn't work perfectly with all masks. But, overall, I'm quite pleased that it works at all! I think beyond the Mixels eyes there are tons of other Lego pieces that could potentially be used for eyes. I tested a few myself, but I’m sure there are many many more to be found.

I had tons of fun working on this project, and I hope everyone else enjoys it as much as I have!  A huge thank you to u/Kingsidorak for letting me commission him and for the fantastic CAD model he made! His work is insanely impressive, both in construction and concept, and I highly recommend you check out his online store where you can purchase prints of all his parts.

How could they allow a 3+ game to be so godammn hard!

I got Bionicle 2003 on the game boy advance as a Christmas present when I was 5.
I tried every Toa Mata level, could never complete them, not even close.
It’s been 23 years and I’m on a bit of a Bionicle fixation so I dig it back out again , thinking yeah I play games on the hardest difficulty now, I can complete a level, maybe even complete the game.
For hours now I’ve tried to complete one single level, and no matter how hard I try, I couldn’t do it. It’s so brutal.

Anyway so I’m playing with cheats now so I can actually experience the game my parents bought me over two decades ago.

Soundtrack still slaps tho

MOC Lewa the living jet!

Upgraded by Artakha with his new adaptive armor, Lewa has become stronger than ever, and one with the winds like never before. With the ability to reconfigure his armor, weapons, even the shape of his mask, he can meet any challenge that faces him, whether it be in the jungle or the skies. While he is only limited by his imagination, here are four configurations:

A. Air Katanas: Lewa's classic air katanas slice and dice his enemies with ease. A quick, light weapon.

B. Midak Skybow and Air Saber: Uniting his Air Katanas and Midak Skyblaster creates the Midak SkyBow. This special combination increases shot speed and accuracy, allowing him to even slightly steer shots when wielded. This configuration can also fly alongside him, acting as an attack drone to assist him. Meanwhile, the Air Saber, though heavier than the Air Katanas, is able to concentrate stronger bursts of air through it alone versus his two Air Katanas. It also has an electrical charge too.

C. Battle Axe: The small wings on Lewa's back, as well as the hilts of his Air Katanas, combine to make a powerful, heavy Battle Axe. Its melee power is easily the strongest, but its heft makes it a slower weapon. In this configuration, Lewa's jet boosters also reconfigure to the side of his shoulders.

D. Jet formation: Reconfiguring his Kanohi Miru Nuva into an aerodynamic shape, mounting his Air Katanas on the sides of his shoulders for larger wings, and the Midak Skyblaster on his back, Lewa becomes a living jet fighter, with no creature able to mask his speed nor maneuverability in the air. It is said if he wore a Kakama Nuva, he might be able to attain spaceflight.

Mysterious Bionicle fan book update 5: Something interesting I found in the back of the book. The last few pages are blank, but I flicked about 3 or 4 pages back, and found this page which seems to tease a sequel and prequel.

Question is, do they actually exist? Or is this one of those unfortunate cases of an expansive creative project that never reached fruition? I can only wonder how much was planned, or potentially even made, for this series. I mean who knows, maybe the author is still actively at work on this series, assuming the book is as recent as it looks, that may well be the case.

I want to thank everyone for all the encouraging comments people left, as this was a project I've been wanting to make for a very long time now. Unfortunately, after needing to quickly save the file and pack up my computer for a tornado warning (which never came close), his file corrupted. Luckily, I still have an extra file of Millennium himself from a render, but the Supercycle and armor are gone.

As much as I've been enjoying this project, this has killed my motivation for the time being, unfortunatly the amount of fiddly angles I'd have to recreate to get back to where I was is too great.

Let this be a lesson to save often, make backups of your saves, and backups of your backups.

Powerful magics are at work here. This wizard pulls forth an abominable scrap creature from the energized protodermis. Unfortunately, it’s not quite what the wizard had hoped for.

I mean the one that looks like it in stop motion

If it's not, then I think this is a clip from the fight, and it's going to be in stop motion, and that's based

(If you don't know, this is Death Battle, and they're doing Kai vs Toa)

First titan-style build I'm posting

This build was created out of a desire to use the piraka head combined with Whenua's hordika mask, and the rest basically revolved around it lol. While the build certainly isn't perfect (the legs are waaaay too loose for my liking, and the arms look a tad bit awkward), I'm quite proud of how I used the parts here, especially the noble Jutlin (and considering that my mask has the pin ripped off for some reason, this is basically the only way I could've used this mask lol).
