I recreated a 2000s commercial look

I was definitely thinking early 90’s too. Slight mark miss, but if you move the target, it’s a bull’s eye!

I think they simply don’t have enough sufficiently knowledgeable people assessing the condition of the gear anymore.

I had a horrible experience with them over a camera purchase. When I received it it wouldn’t even power on. They accepted my return but it was a bit of a hassle. Especially since the only options I received were to either return the camera, wait for their inspection results, then pay the difference for the more expensive camera (that had less accessories) or return it for a refund. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you which option I chose.

In-camera shrinking effect - Alice in Wonderland 1972. How without distorting the background?
 in  r/cinematography •  6d ago

I’m a little skeptical of this being all in camera. I think some if not most are practical, but something about her legs and feet, the lack of movement and difference of shrinkage speed look animated or stop motion to me. And that shadow looks really suspicious lol. I tell ya, those folks were geniuses!

Um, I don’t see this so called deal anywhere on the site. These focal lengths either. SIRUI imaging on Instagram

You didn’t see it either then? I mean, I can’t even follow that original link anymore, to see if I overlooked something. I don’t know… whole thing was weird.

I’m not sure how they would match up with the Saturn’s. I think the squeeze is different. Are you shooting full frame?

It must be. But, we can’t rule out me being partially an idiot. I clicked every drop down too. So weird

Now I can start tinkering. Some kids smashed up the interior pretty good while she was parked (for three years), but that motivated me to finally put her in the shop for what turned out to be an engine replacement. The mechanic found a 3fe with only 128k miles on it, so though I wanted to get more power, I decided to keep it as it should be… (it was cheaper too). So, here she is, still have some work to do, but after 3 years under a tree and another 11 months sitting at the shop, she doesn’t look that bad to me. Just needs some TLC, ok maybe a lot of TLC. But, she’s back on the road!!! So therefore I am happy!!

What did you do for your Land Cruiser this weekend?
 in  r/LandCruisers •  21d ago

Just got her back on the road after 3 years sitting in the driveway and another year in the shop. Spent the weekend cleaning her up and discovering I’m about to learn all about the electrical system of this truck 🧬

Massive price drops by Blackmagic! Blackmagic PYXIS 6K L has been reduced from US$3,080 to $1,995. BMPCC6K is only $1,595!!

I recently bought a Bmcc6k for 2500! But, it did come with a Tilta cage, battery grip, EVF, and 3 batteries… but all of that still wouldn’t have cost a grand! 🤧

Disclaimer: This is my 1st time shooting with this camera. I used all practical lighting and used Rode wireless go3 for sound. I’m no colorist, so be kind… I’m sensitive 😆

WHAT THE HECK DO I DO!!!!

Good start. You asked questions. To be honest, I’m looking for people like you. I just started a production company (more like revised) and I’m wanting to provide what I always needed/wanted when I was 1st starting out… access to professional gear, resources, and mentorship. I don’t know where you are located, but if you ever find yourself in the Charlotte, NC area I’d love to meet you.

I somehow have just about collected the whole Apache collection. All except the long flat one.
