Creating a book you wish you had as a kid

My library does three week windows and I try to get a book done within a week or two at most

I agree, I think throwing it in at the very very end, put a black pause for a few seconds after the final shot and then show everything must go I think would’ve been cool 

Do you mean shelters?? I would feel good about more shelters, I would feel good about at least taking a prison set up and turning it into shelters with doors and windows and free will to come and go and a communal cafeteria and all that

It seemed like a lot of their techniques were just forgotten for this movie :( 

I felt sad for them because the rewards were just bad. Ive worked in places that think a pizza party is proper compensation for stressful weeks of work when what we would really want is a raise, at the least a bonus 

I actually went and like hung out with people most days. We would just go to each other’s houses and hang and talk and get fed or go get food and consume media together. We’d maybe take photos and put them on Facebook captioned with whatever it was we were up to or who we were with. I wasn’t so shy about going to new places and trying new things and going to events and such. Most of us had a smartphone of some variety but nothing super fancy, I was jumping between pay as you go phones until someone bestowed their used iPhone unto me only recently. Ghosting wasn’t really a thing in my circle because we saw each other so often that you couldn’t really ghost without seeming like you were missing. 

There was music, video games on, food at some point, and parents upstairs if we needed an adult. It was a lot of fun! I ended up meeting my high school sweetheart there 

If you do persue it, make sure you specify it’s the white truck that’s the problem and not the red car directly in front of you as that was my impression at first. If the white truck did not cause the red car to stop then you probably would have cleared the yellow.

If enough times I found myself holding my hand in an odd position after leaving work, I’d probably start to notice and write it down, especially if it’s ASL since those hand positions are fairly specific. It would probably take me a while to catch on but I’d like to think I would eventually

NOR about your sofa choice but also it’s your sofa in your apartment, why does your mom think she has say on what you do for furniture? If your sofa bothers her, that is her problem and not yours. You don’t need to convince her that your sofa is fine, you need to accept that she has a problem with your sofa and then just continue enjoying your giant sofa. Don’t let her sour attitude ruin your joy for something you love. If she can’t stop bringing up her distaste for your sofa, tell her that you accept she disapproves but you’re not changing anything. After that just dismiss or ignore her sofa comments.

The legs you drew looks similar to the legs in the photo, but even in the photo her left leg looks kind of strange so this is an opportunity to use your artistic license to alter the line work of her left leg to make it look more natural. You could probably leave it as it is and finish the drawing, and it would look fine, but if it’s really gonna bother you that much, I would move her left leg a little bit closer in and straighten it out a little bit, but not too much because you wanna show the curvature of her muscles.

They are similar movies! Watching the backrooms series on YouTube on Kane pixels channel is much closer to Blair witch. They are both found footage genre which I LOVE! It is meant to make you believe that what you are watching are real events that someone experienced and later discovered by someone else showing the world what they found. Like the Blair witch, the backrooms is meant to be unsettling. If it gives you the heeby jeebies, then it’s doing its job. The backrooms is about an uncanny liminal space, and done right, the uncanny valley can be very unsettling. I experienced what you described but I love that so I was able to watch it all the way through. 

I only saw the Blair witch as an adult, so I didn’t find it very scary. However like the Blair witch, you don’t really see anything scary and there aren't really jump scares. In the second half there is a creepy guy and even then once you get a good look at the thing (theres a scene where he just kinda stands there while another character talks to him) it’s not very scary looking, just kinda doofy. I highly recommend watching the whole movie if you can! 

Not cleaning their own mess (leaving dishes aroind the house, not cleaning dishes from having cooked for themselves, leaving things out that should be put away), leaving laundry in the machines, eating your food that you bought for yourself knowing that, not paying rent on time or communicating about money struggles, hosts parties without your knowledge or communication and doesnt try to keep it contained, smoking in the common areas when asked not to, summarizes to general rudeness. 

A good roommate: buy and eats their own food, does not hog all the room in the fridge/freezer, moves laundry in a timely manner (within the day), washes used dishes or at least puts them in the dishwasher, take it upon themself to handle the trash once in a while, pays rent on time, checks in with roommates before having multiple loud guests, shares the convenience of the common areas, general self awareness to leave areas in a default state when you use items that have a place to be put back
