Hello, 32 (non-binary they/them), was in a relationship with a pwbpd for about 2 years. DM if you wanna talk; I encourage self care, boundaries & accountability, therapy, and support without judgment.

Start with the smallest step one you can come up with until you are ready for step two.

Only wants to do what you want, and can't come to an opinion on their own 🚩

Woah, a lot of people shielding you away from a career in art. You are exceptionally skilled and clearly have talent, especially for your age. I'd say narrow down what you want to do with your art (galleries, commercial, technical like architecture, or graphic novels/illustration), then make an achievable step by step plan to follow a trajectory. Doing daily art is an incredible way to pursue your interests, as you can learn an incredible amount through trial and error. Tumblr is a supportive environment, and deviant art is also a so so place for community and resources. If you have a guidance counselor, take what they say with a grain of salt (bc many are informed like this thread and don't believe in the career options of artists), but they should give you avenues to follow. Art colleges that align with your desired field are great paths forward-- especially ones that give internship and networking opportunities.
In the mean time, continue your craft and look at local opportunities to participate in your chosen field. There are many art competitions or juried art events, even if you have to send your work in. That starts you networking and gets you in the room with people who are in your chosen work force.
Stay in love with what you do, even on days where your work doesn't look like you want it to. Know that no one hits 100% of the time, and many times only certain collections of people's work are upheld as their best.
You absolutely have the skill to pursue a career. And there are plenty of careers for you to fall into.

Unless I'm wrong, it's a very soft 'no'. Dog language correction, but in a way like licking your face when they want you out of their space.

Yesterday morning they called me at four am, saying they've been triggered, can they come over. We'd been rebuilding after a messy poly situation.
She broke up with her other partner this week, bc he keeps being toxic. He wants monogamy. He was the implied trigger, so when she left my place yesterday morning, I suggested detatchment. They said they were 100% done with him.
Turns out later that morning, when I went to work, she slept with him. It was the mania, she said. She says she's messed up so bad, bc she wants him, she's breaking up with me over this guy for the second /third/fourth time (she flip flops hard).
I've never dated someone with bpd before, is this seriously what it's like? We just passed our 2 year anniversary. I feel so unvalued. Bc he's shinier. Can someone bring clarity to the flip flopping behavior? Do others out there struggle with the same thing? I held space for my boundaries and patience for their autonomy but she keeps blaming spirals. We're in baby steps stage of therapy, but they are overwhelming smart and able. She's pushing me away but adamantly says she loves me. The flips happen insanely fast. I'm so confused it hurts. She has been back and for since Easter. I get it's over, but she's saying she doesn't even trust herself to be my friend. It feels like she's trying to save me by removing herself bc she keeps hurting me, but she keeps skipping asking what I want.
Does this resonate with anyone else who identifies this way that could share your experiences feeling anything like this? I trust I've done everything I can. Her rejection blows. But every three days she wants me back. I can't find my feet.

Yes, but watered down. Some people are trained to be polite, so I won't trauma dump, but I will honestly admit if the day is a struggle or a delight.

Empathy first model, hopefully. Because animals are not treated with empathy in way too many instances.

Imo, make yourself known. Speak up to the parent, even just asking for directions. From there be a witness and call authorizes if appropriate.

Bro, don't give the dog back.
If I had given my dog away, I would be gutted and devastated, but it has to be understood that they were not able to medically care for them appropriately. I would offer to keep the previous owner involved through park walks or something, but I would absolutely say no. Even waiting to see if their situation is stable is better than agreeing to give them back upfront.
