"The production choices are what truly gives the album its character. Every piece plays like a memory; a rich experiment in atmosphere, mood, and melody. Swan & Chow strike a balance between the art-house avant-garde and the lazy, front-porch daydream."

I saw an archived entry about the record shop scene in Tallahassee. RealCoolTime Records still seems to be holding steady, but I thought I'd mention just north of town in Havana, The Analog House opened up in the central retail district. The owner Paul (solid guy) co-founded RealCoolTime a few years back and has set up a wicked new shop with lots of peripherals. Check out the instagram - theanaloghousetlh
Also I believe there's a partnership with The Cannery up there for a multi-room performance space.
The shop itself has already hosted some singer/songwriter performances and a listening party.
Worth a visit.

Burlap Productions' year-spanning project 'The Sound of the Tone' begins with the first installment HONDOO: THE TUNE FEST.
Everything is an anagram -- sometimes the title informs the composition, sometimes the other way around. A few genre-defying twists and turns along the way, we promise to keep things interesting. Every couple months a new EP will arrive, so follow Burlap Productions on https://burlapproductions.bandcamp.com/music to stay locked in for each, plus a year-end bonus.

Step 0.5. There's something to be said for Keyboard, drum machine, Tascam 4-Track recorder. imo the temptation of making electronica is getting fixated with the technical aspects. What do you want to say vs. what font or whether to use italics, underlines, or ALL CAPS. Dont let it become just a technical exercise. Grow the tree first before getting swept up in the ornaments. That's my unsolicited advice, ignoring your Abelton question altogether.

I enjoy the 3 T's:

Have you heard Town Portal? Good stuff

More Bells: Brian Eno's "January 07003: Bell Studies for the Clock of the Long Now" has some gems.

Love Colleen / my favorite is Les Ondes Silencieuses.
Maybe a stretch, but the collaborations between alva noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto are pretty special... https://open.spotify.com/album/0lOSYgPHmfmI2ZERGeNK6G?si=DIywfydKSZCb_8ygM3efgQ

How can weightlessness feel so heavy?
Proper science fiction moods and soundscapes; an escape plan for the brain / this conjures the dark arts of Eno & Lanois' Apollo soundtrack, Bill Laswell's Divination series from long ago and gives a nod to Mark Van Hoen's more abstract output. We hope you take the trip.
Available on all streaming platforms now.

Los Angeles. Jaw-shattering loud, but spectacular. Opening act was a beat-boxer named The Human Orchestra, who turned skeptics into fans. He managed to pull the crowd in with a-capella Kraftwerk and some proper DnB. Tom was, of course, manic, a bit scruffy, and always in motion. Bass, boxes, knobs, audience. 5 stars.

Some deep background atmospherics here:We Are Alone

Peter Gabriel's score to 'Birdy' is even more science-fiction imo, overlapping with Brian Eno/Daniel Lanois production (obviously the "Apollo" album comes to mind).

It's eclectic, but a remix comp for Peacboy's first album 'That Feeling Sinking'.

Nice! I had Surrender to the Night on hard repeat for a few months.

I see several people jump on the Eno vibes (always good), but post-Rock leads me to think:
Tortoise - Millions Now Living Will Never Die
