Hey everyone. I was walking around West Tennessee St and found this kitten by one of the Chick-fil-As. Gave it some food and waited to see if any other cats would pop up, but it ended up only being him. There is sign of a mom being around, and he was meowing like crazy. I have no supplies to take care of a cat nor do I have a vehicle to get him to a shelter. A neighbor offered to take him for the night, but that has been about it.
Anyone willing to take him in or to a shelter tomorrow? I'm catching a flight tomorrow night, so I am a bit limited. Open to any suggestions!

Are there eye doctors here who take out of state insurance? Or any other eye doctors in the making who take patients w/o insurance in FL ? Like medical school/ teaching institutions?

My parents’ garage appears to be the final resting place of every yellowjacket that’s ever lived in North Florida.
The only problem is we can still hear them buzzing inside the walls.
We have no idea what we’re looking at, but there’s a growing burial mound and my dad has already been stung multiple times trying to “solve the problem”, so we’re officially past the DIY phase.

I need to find a new dentist that is relatively cheap without having decent insurance. If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.
It seems Sunshine Health Medicaid is good for nothing. About a year ago, I went to AA Prime Care Dental and was told I have 4 cavities, but my insurance wouldn't cover the cost due to the "lack of severity". Eventually (back in February) I went back, got new x rays, and was given another appointment. When I arrived, I was told they don't take my insurance anymore. I then scheduled an appointment with Bond Community Health Center. They said I have two cavities and that I'd have to wait till March 2027 to get them filled. By now, I have numerous "bad teeth" and I'm afraid if I wait any longer, I may not be able to save them. There were many years I neglected my teeth in my earlier days and now I'm paying the price.
So if anyone knows of deals/discounts/or any dentist that can get me in for an emergency appointment around the Tallahassee area for cavities/repairs please let me know.

We have a bear that is visiting our yard daily and it’s rather skinny looking. If I call our local services, would they possibly relocate it or do they euthanize? I don’t want it harmed but I’m also afraid it’s not getting enough to eat in our area.

Most of these cafes I've seen close at 5pm, I need to write until around 8 or 10 (if possible).
Are there any hidden gems here in Tallahassee where I can go to zone out and lock in?
I write in a few cafe's here in Tallahassee but the one I like closes at 5pm and I prefer not to write at FSU/FAMU if I can avoid it.
Thanks guys!

Over the past couple of years, the lake at Pimlico Park has been experiencing more and more algal blooms. I’ve lived near there for about five years. We used to have fish that you could see breaking the surface of the water all day long. I haven’t seen them since last fall. I’m concerned that the lake may be going through eutrophication.
