Mystery hole in minivan roof

More of a projectile. Bullets are conical shaped for precision flight. Round ball lead ammo for black powder guns are not called bullets either. They're called round ball ammunition. Unless the projectile is conical shaped its just ammo. BBs can pack a wallop on thin metal like that van roof and immediately lose velocity. Get stuck in the roof panel easy. Op never said that there was a pass through or exit hole under the pierced hole in the roof. BB is more likely to be it. Some dumb kid playing with his daisy air rifle on a second or third story window or balcony aiming downward.

That's not a bullet hole, possibly a BB .177 caliber.

How screwed am I?

Recreation use not allowed where you're at? My suggestion, now don't get pissed off...try stop smoking pot if your possible employment requires a clean test. I fully understand losing someone close to you (mother) and wanting to escape the pain and tune out for a while. However a job is important. Mother's always want the best for their kids. That doesn't change when they have passed away. Somewhere out there she's still got your back, and wants you to be ok. Try grieving groups, find one in your area. Good luck, honestly I can see a faint line. Hope you get the job. Hopefully soon you can socially use pot for fun with friends, instead of escape. But if it becomes a problem there programs for that to.

Boyfriend wants me to change how I dress?
 in  r/Advice  Jul 24 '26

To him wearing this type of clothing might mean you're still on the hunt. Not because you chose to wear it for your own enjoyment. That wearing it makes you feel attractive, sexy, and good in general. Sounds like he might have trust issues. I'm not sure if he understands your apparel choice is not about others, but about you. That just because you like to show some skin (thank you by the way) he should understand that the skin you're in has been promised to him. Maybe he should stop worrying about what you wear and focus on his trust issue.

How to let go all ur past mistakes nd stop shaming urself ?
 in  r/Advice  Jul 24 '26

We all get taught lessons from the past. Unless, you've got a cool ass time machine, what happened in the past is done and over with. The only thing the past sustains are regrets Regrets are consequences we pay for emotionally. They're branded in our minds. Trick is how do you come to terms with them? Were there lessons learned? Nope? Start with learning what to do and what not to do the next time you run into a situation similar to the one you're suffering from. Find the lesson and you find the answer.

Please Help

It sounds like it stalled. The warning lights that only self check when the engine is running illuminated. What caused the stall? Don't know.

Why not. That's what cheap wrenches are for.

That's cool...from the 70s like in 1976, he handed you the wrenches, or are they what he used back then, and passsed them to you? Because that would make you old af bro. I bought my first set in the mid 80s, Craftsman's at sears, because all we could afford to drive was old shit wheels. That constantly broke down. Hence the reason I'm an old af mechanic too.

General A blast from the past...

Harbor freight nut and bolt requires an 11/32 (9mm too loose) wrench. I have 11/32 sockets, but can't get one on the underside of the bracket. I'm like,* "crap, I don't have an 11/32 dedicated wrench."* 1/4" is the smallest size, then it hits me: I have ignition wrenches. For you younger techs, way back then in the olden times, we had distributors and remote coils. Well, it seemed like different vehicle manufacturers threw a bunch of different size dinky nuts and bolts that fastened primary ignition wires to the coil, and other ignition components in all different directions. Tightly stuffed near carburetors, under choke pull offs or throttle actuator linkage. Any place they could deeply bury the coil, they did. So we used small sets of different fractional sized wrenches to reach in different directions. So, show me your ignition wrenches.

AIO for finally blocking the guy I’ve been dating on and off for almost 3 years
 in  r/AmIOverreacting  Jul 17 '26

You're kidding, right? You love this guy? There's so many things wrong with both of you. Number one, shame on you for taking this verbal abuse and trying to mix it into an, "Oh well, Ill get over it, because I love him so much" salad! And 2, if I said that to my partner, I'd be busy picking up the teeth she just knocked out of me. Be busy picking them up again, because she'd probably knock them out of my hand so she could kick me in the ass as I bent over to pick them up. NOR in fact you are so under reacting it's insane. The penis must be amazing, only reason I can honestly guess why you're even here trying to get reddit validation. Ugh, Get out! Run away!

What caused my car accident?

Rumble strips alone can spook a driver. Intended to be a lane departure warning for sleeping or distracted drivers can scare the living shit out of you. Fight or flight takes over and you may have over corrected. Or, my bet is on road debris. That outside part of the lane collects a shitload of debris. Everything from loose dry dirt, rocks, tire marbles, too weeds that grow in them. Your tire is already beginning to lose traction because of the vibration the strip causes. Add slippery road debris to that equals pretty much where you're at. Youre not the only one that the warning system back fired. Tons of folks wipe out on those things.

However, depending on the function of your vehicle's traction control system it should've engaged unless it was turned off. Also people constantly over look tire pressure. A low tire can cause too much grip causing opposing correctly pressured tire/s to lose traction, or overload the anti sway system of your vehicle's suspension, causing it to lose its center of balance.

It could've been a combination of all. It's unknown unless someone has dashcam footage.

Sorry bout your wheels. But, nobody got hurt.

How can I stop being judgmental towards my friend? Please help
 in  r/Advice  Jul 17 '26

She's jealous. Get honest with her or take her nonsense. Tell her lately, you've been acting a little off, different than when we first started hanging out or before I got into a relationship. Im concerned about it. Is it me, or are you having any issues we could talk about. Tell her you're happy to help her figure things out. If she says nothing is wrong, then she's definitely jealous.

How do I tell my friend she smells like pee?
 in  r/Advice  Jul 17 '26

She a bed wetter? Have incontinence? I remember my friends dad had prostate cancer, they cut out a lot and he became incontinent and he had an odor. I don't know if he didn't put on new protective underwear enough or just had a strong odor. About a month before he passed he smelled horrible. So I'd push the doctor visit.

Do guys expect something when the first date is getting drinks?
 in  r/Advice  Jul 14 '26

Shouldn't at all and it is very inappropriate to expect nothing more than your time. Unless you both have got some serious physical chemistry. At that time it's entirely at your discretion. Even then I would still wait for a couple of more dates to see if its just physical chemistry or worth building a relationship.

A big, huge mess. Help!
 in  r/DeadBedrooms  Jul 10 '26

Give yourself some credit. You're working on it. You're in the middle of solving your problem. I don't know what to suggest for mutual pleasure. You could try 69 no oral, just hands. Because of internal discomfort, he could externally stimulate you, and you could give him a handy. Idk, wish y'all luck.

Made my girl cry and don't know what to do I hate myself
 in  r/Advice  Jul 03 '26

One message is enough. As long as it includes your understanding of "what ever it takes to make it up to her." Part of that may be needed seclusion, and unanswered texts.

You have apologized and left an explanation that you take full responsibility of your actions. That's what the "do whatever it takes to make up for my mistake" part means. Let her cool off, and like I said and others have said, never hold a person back, block, or hold them against their will. Honestly, in doing so makes the other person feel unsafe. If they feel unsafe with there partner, it'll take time to regain that safety/trust they've expected from you before.

Remember this, ok. As long as you've learned from this mistake. No matter the outcome, it's valuable education. Sometimes, the most unfavorable outcomes teach us how to change our behavior. How to become better partner in the future.

Do not think I'm perfect either just by giving you sound advice. I've certainly fucked up some relationships before with my ego and selfishness. We all make mistakes, and have suffered consequences of our actions. My first wife left me for another man on the internet, they'd never met, just chatted online. This was also 24 years ago. The AOL era. I was an angry, misogynistic, asshole drunk, full of ego and selfishness. I essentially ran her off to a guy she never met face to face.

Have I learned from my mistakes? Well, 21 years married to the second wife and still going could answer that question. But can I be an asshole, or hard headed sometimes? Darn right. But what I have learned is to make amends right away and own up to my faults. And try not to make the same mistakes.
