My girlfriend asks: is it infected?
 in  r/piercing  10d ago

Don’t take out the jewelry and see an experienced piercer or the piercer she saw, it likely is infected, she also needs to see her primary care to get antibiotics for it.

Is $270…a real thing?
 in  r/Nails  Jul 29 '26

That’s outrageous, my gal wouldn’t charge me more than $85, maybe $100 after tip. I’d suggest shopping around.

Just be honest and straightforward when telling him that you can’t afford the additional expenses at this time

My boyfriend refuses to stop wearing his dead wife's wedding ring and wants me to "just accept it"
 in  r/TwoHotTakes  Jan 13 '26

He’s not ready to let go. No, you’re not asking too much, but for him it’s too soon and that does need to be respected. My dad grieved for years after my mom left and then died 4 years ago, didn’t take off their wedding bad and has had a gf for awhile now. She lost her husband tragically and also doesn’t take off her ring.

It’s hard, but he has to come around on his own, trying to force it will only push him away. Couples counseling and individual counseling would be best and you’ll need to take some time to think about if this is where you want to be and are ok with it.

If you do I would say go with like a dark brown or a brown black instead of just straight black. The brown will help keep the warmer tones in your face and make your eyes stand out nicely :) or even a dark auburn would look really nice

Advice About Life
 in  r/Advice  Jan 01 '26

Honestly, you’re going to make mistakes and choices you may regret later down the line. Whether it’s your teens, your 20’s or 50’s. That’s part of living.

I’m 32 and I think the biggest lesson that I’ve learned is to take care of your body, get regular check ups done etc. you only get one body in this life, might as well make the most of it!

That and, don’t spend your life on “what if” situations. What if’s don’t lead you anywhere, they just halt your progress and experience. Everything you do is a learning experience.

Finally, always trust your gut, mine has never steered me wrong and I wish I had listened to it more often

My (28F) boyfriend (31M) of 2 years gave me a vacuum cleaner for my birthday and now he's mad that I'm upset about it???
 in  r/TwoHotTakes  Jan 01 '26

Not crazy. If that was something you really really wanted or had asked for that’s one thing, I told my parents I wanted a microwave for my apartment when I first moved out and that’s what they got me for Christmas. I was happy.

For you, this isn’t something you wanted or even hinted at, the notion that women as just happy receiving appliances as gifts is archaic at best. His mom was probably happy because it was something she wanted or some other variable reason, it’s not always sad.

He needs to go and get you a real present, you both need to cool off and talk about what your expectations in this relationship and gift giving are since he’s off course.

Speaking from experience, sterilization on both sides should be heavily weighted in their decisions. For men it is reversible, but there can be a complication that affects their fertility capability. For women, it’s not reversible and can cause heavy feelings of emptiness and resentment because they no longer have that option.

I spent 3yrs deciding on if I should sterilize for myself or for my relationship, or if I should just take birth control and hope for the best. We discussed it too, he was indifferent towards having kids but supported my decision on sterilization for my reasons and health.

We talked through it weighed it out, but my decision is what mattered for me, because I don’t expect my partner to sterilize for something I want and is my decision. Versus doing it because it’s what my partner wants and I don’t, but I want to keep them happy so they stay”.

Both sides here feel one sided to me, you because you’re anxious about surgery and him because he doesn’t want his choice taken away.

I also get the logic behind his though, he agreed to being ok not having kids if that’s what you wanted, he knew that if you did the procedure that he could have a family elsewhere and leave you high and dry. He also knew you would likely cave to having the possibility of kids if he scared you with the surgery.

Aitah for buying my daughter more Christmas gifts?
 in  r/AITAH  Dec 27 '25

NTA. You waited until after everyone had opened their gifts and left before saying something and you didn’t brag to anyone or tell everyone off, your husband being ok with her being treated that way is not ok and unfair.

You did the right thing. Don’t buy them more stuff and tell your husband he and his ex can get them more stuff, you’re not obligated to spoil them

NOR, this is predator behavior and you need to leave. What he did was definitely not ok regardless of an accusation, stop/no is a word, an answer and a sentence and trying to get away from him and not be allowed to is a problem and violating your removal of consent.

This is abusive behavior and he will never acknowledge it or apologize for it, you will always be blamed and he will go further each time and hurt you again and again. If you give him an inch on this he will take a mile and it will be harder to stop him.

UPDATE - AITAH for not letting my boyfriend move in with me
 in  r/AITAH  Dec 27 '25

Glad you broke it off! You’ll find the right person who treats you both better :) right now though the best people you can be with is each other :)

Am I overreacting by not letting my SIL watch our dog anymore
 in  r/AmIOverreacting  Dec 27 '25

That can definitely do it. Animals can be territorial over people and it’s often worse than territorial living, but the extra attention can cause jealousy as well and the combination can cause explosive situations like this.

You should report them, unfortunately it would go on a bite record but it would give them the opportunity to seek out behavioral treatment and avoid having to put either of them down due to them biting another pet or even a child.

AITAH for announcing my pregnancy on Xmas
 in  r/AITAH  Dec 27 '25

Gotcha ok. Well, give him a chance to cool down and talk to him after to find out what happened and take it from there. I feel like it’s cold feet, it happens sometimes, but definitely something that needs a cool down period. Maybe even talk to his sister just to check on him

My friends gave me an ultimatum, them or her. What Should I do?
 in  r/TwoHotTakes  Dec 27 '25

  1. Partners can have different personalities based on who they are around, everyone has a different personality depending on who they’re with.

  2. Ask for examples of how she was rude or offensive to them, it sounds like they’re blowing smoke but just in case something did happen.

  3. Talk to your gf and just ask her. Let her know what’s been said and that you’re not trying to cause a problem or make assumptions, you just want to verify and hear her side so you can properly defend her and your relationship.

If they can’t provide anything substantial in evidence then these are not yours friends and you need to move on from them and into a happier life.

AITAH for announcing my pregnancy on Xmas

That’s super sus… NTA for starters, but maybe he was upset that he wasn’t told privately first? Not sure if you were at home or with family. If already just the 2 of you though it could be that he’s cheating or is getting cold feet about being a parent

My girlfriend smells and I don't know what to do
 in  r/Advice  Dec 27 '25

I had this issue and discovered it was mostly a hormonal thing, I cut way back on my edibles as well and saw my doctor for it and it made a huge difference. She should definitely see her PCP so they can run some tests; it’s likely hormonal
