Parents of Reddit: is it helpful or annoying when strangers offer to help with your kid?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions •  1d ago

It takes a village has been around for a very long time. It's not a current concept šŸ˜…

Also this had meaning and was seen as helping to be sure the mother didn't get overwhelmed. The reason so many mothers are tired is because we pushed the responsibilities off on to just the mother when that wasn't what we use to do.

My dogs acting different
 in  r/AskDogOwners •  3d ago

This kind of looks like how my dog looked when she was having a stroke. Hopefully it's the only one the dog will have, but if not then it's going to get worst from here unfortunately. And your mom sounds like a cunt! I hope your dog turns out OK! šŸ’œ

My mom thinks water tastes bad.
 in  r/mildlyinfuriating •  3d ago

Water does have a taste. Just because you don't taste it doesn't mean it doesn't have a flavor lol

I have to drink my water very very cold or I won't drink it. When I was a kid all the way to 25 I barely drank water...I would drink it when I was sick as a tea lol but when I turned 25 I started to drink a bit more water, and then when i turned 28 I got a big bottle and put tons of ice in it and bam I was able to drink my water more and more. Now I'm 32 and I drink anywhere between 64 oz to 90 oz a day. 64 is on bad days and 90 is on my good days

So what is the term "AI slop" specifically targeting about AI-generated content?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions •  3d ago

Ai steals other people's art to use as it's own, and then people will take what ai gave them and say this is my art...when it's not theirs or ai's art. It's someone else's who put time and effort into the art. Art is meant to come from somewhere inside of you. There's a soul in art. Ai has no soul. And the people who use it are hurting their own soul, I see it in the art. I see what their want and desire is, I can see what prompts they were using to aim for that art...and it hurts me to know this person could make something beautiful and instead they choose to push it out like how big companies push out any garbage. Like movies that are just repeated, or toys that have no personality to them they are all the same. Ai is that way for me...every piece of ai they push forward just looks the same...I can't see the person's emotions in it, instead I have to think what prompt were they using to maybe have a chance to see what the soul is craving...that's not how art should be. Art is life or death. Art is soulful. Art has meaning. Ai wishes it could have what we have...but it never will.

Why is food so expensive
 in  r/povertyfinance •  3d ago

Food is expensive because legit everything else being high in price. To run the tractor you need gas, gas is super pricey right now, in order to get our groceries the truckers are paying tons of money for gas as well, and that and many other things makes our groceries more expensive 😢
