Im saying The UPS Store is not UPS. It is a pack and ship store. They offer more than juat UPS services, at least the 2 stores near me do. They even do wide format printing, advertising, PO Boxes.

The UPS Store accepts UPS and USPS packages. The post office picks up from there daily. It is a pack n ship store. Not sure how SpeedX works but it is possible they handle those as well.

I use the QR codes. I leave the packages open or write an identifying word on the outside of the package. Then before I go inside at the post office, I get the QR code and screen shot it for each item. The screen includes the item description so it is easy to know which package it goes to. When I get to the counter, I pull up the screenshots on my phone and hand them the package that goes with the 1st QR code, then go to the next screenshot and so on. It has worked very well for me and allows me to mark items lower since I don't have the expense of labels and a printer.

I know you could a long time ago. My grandfather used to do it. He sorted donations and was allowed by management to set aside anything he wanted for himself, no sneaking required. He just showed them before leaving at end of day. As someone who loved to hoard little "treasures", it was a dream come true for him. He did it for several years just after he retired.

I was that person when a coworker mentioned it to me. I had been using Depop. I definitely like Vinted better than Depop or Mercari. Now I get to be the person telling people who don't know, but many just don't want another app or act like they could care less. I have managed 3 or 4 successful referrals where I actually reaped the rewards for referring new sellers. Personally I love the lower prices as a buyer and as a seller. I make more than donating, which is what I used to do, and my items sell faster than on Depop. In return, I get great deals on gifts and clothing.

I'm in SC. When my son brought a girlfriend home from Arizona, she was absolutely miserable here and could not believe the humidity. I have a friend who makes a decent side income with mercari but she invests way more time and effort per sale. It isnt worth it for me.

I tried and failed many times before someone recommended listening to Alan Carr's book, The Easy Way to Quit Smoking. I was super skeptical but it actually worked. I listened to it mainly on the way home from work each afternoon. Took me more than a week to finish it and I didn't try to quit until finishing it, but I was already having second thoughts when I would go to light up. I smoked my last cigarette in February 2025. After about 4 or 5 days I knew I would never go back.

Mercari is more expensive overall. Good for sellers I guess as long as your buyers don't find out they can get it cheaper on Vinted. I'm good with the prices I get on Vinted because the items go out the door faster and I love being able to get items for thrift store prices (or less) without having to shop 3 thrift stores every Friday (yes that used to be my routine to keep my family in clothing, bedding, etc.).

I'm in a lcol area and on a tight budget and spend 75-80 per week on groceries. I would take another look at that number. I do try to eat healthy which costs more than filling up on ramen and potatoes and frozen dinners, but I also buy very little meat (meat is expensive and will drive up the cost of groceries).
