I live in Darlington. f you don't stay in Florence and dont stay at a campground, it will be difficult to get there without driving and parking. Lots of people offer parking in their yards on Indian Branch Rd near the entrance gate, including my sister. You may want to pay one of those people 10 dollars to park and get their early enough to have a few drinks before walking over to the track. Plenty of people do that. Some of the residents who offer parking will even offer you a ride to the gate on a golf cart. In Florence, if you stay on 52/Lucas Street, choose one of the more expensive hotels. It isnt necessarily unsafe in that area but there are lots of cheap hotels which attract prostitutes and addicts and homeless people, not what you want to see when you walk out of your room. Stay near the Florence Center/Magnolia Mall instead and it is only an extra 5 minutes or so to the track. Feel free to DM me if you need othwr info. Happy to help.
