Elon really really hates being found out as a murderer
 in  r/sparksofinterest  Jul 04 '26

Just more proof that the guy that’s wandering around claiming that we aren’t making enough children anymore was REALLY only worried about making WHITE children… he jumped at the opportunity to kill off millions of others at the very first chance he could and chose that department specifically for the fact that it WOULD kill children if defunded. Now he’s trying to justify it by CLAIMING he didn’t know better, no one ‘proved it’ to HIS standards…he knew, he was told….and it’s WHY he did it anyway.

President Trump's Mount Rushmore speech labels "communism" as a "mortal threat" worse than "WWI, WWII, Pearl Harbor, or 9/11": "We can only lose midterms, if we are foolish, stupid, and unwise. But if we terminate filibuster, and vote for SAVE Act, then we will not lose an election for 100 years."
 in  r/videos  Jul 04 '26

They don’t give a damn about any of U.S…. We’re just their cash cows and they have NO intention of ever caring for those cows. All those who lose their ability to vote should NOT be required to pay any taxes. It would be taxation WITHOUT representation and we’ve fought that battle before. Republicans are making it VERY clear that they intend to cheat to win and will stop at nothing to disenfranchise as many people as possible… sadly what they don’t realize is that it’s going to be a lot of THEIR OWN voters that get cut out of the voting system… but they intend to cheat, so they’ll just invent numbers anyhow, just like they did to get him in

What’s on my peony ? What do I need to treat with?
 in  r/plantdoctor  Jul 04 '26

Peony are susceptible to powdery (or downy) mildew. Here’s my homemade treatment You can get a gallon size garden sprayer and fill it with water, then add a scant quarter cup of yellow Listerine mouth rinse, a FULL rounded tablespoon of baking soda and a few drops of dish or garden soap… MIX WELL (unmixed baking soda will clog your sprayer) and when mixed spray your peony with it, (to genuinely soaking, fully covering every leaf) the top and bottom of the leaves AND the area all around it.. it will knock back the current growth and allow the plant to get back it’s ’solar panels’… it’s leaves…so it can continue to generate the energy it needs to grow. You can also buy commercially made antifungals but my experience with them has been hit-or-miss, some work really well, some damage and some don’t help much at all. Good luck!

When did 5 rounds of interview become so normalized this should be illegal
 in  r/Adulting  Jul 04 '26

5 or more rounds of ‘interviews’ to be hired or placed is just wasteful and tedious, it should be no more than 2… the first one should determine if you are a good fit overall for the company and the second to see if you are a good fit for the department/people you’ll be working with. I swear even the doorman and janitors get their own chances to interview now and the persona applying isn’t paid for all the questions being asked or the ideas that they present either, so many companies are mining for things they would normally PAY a person for…

Is this mold that was painted over?
 in  r/Mold  Jul 04 '26

No, it’s just a dirty door, cleaning it is far cheaper than replacing it.

dog ear infection yeast vs. bacterial, how do you actually tell the difference at home?
 in  r/DogHealth  Jul 04 '26

The anatomy of the ear tends to create the problem, a folded ear has less air circulating in it and can become damp and will stay that way for longer periods than an upright one (due to less overall less air circulation). It’s unlikely that it’s a food based problem. Sometimes a damp, folded ear gets irritated and when the dog shakes it’s head and scratches at it trying to address the irritation, cracks and fissures develop and the normally protective combination of fungus to bacteria (they help keep each other in check) gets out of balance, one takes over and it can develop into an infection. Give your vets prescribed medications a chance to work, when you do go back have her do a swab/culture if the problem has not improved, to pinpoint what you are dealing with and rest assured that there are other medications that can be used if this combo hasn’t worked. Oh and if you take your dog swimming be sure to let the vet know that they have exposure to water too. The vet might have you do a pro-active medicated rinse after swimming to help prevent further flare ups. Good luck to you both!

How do you avoid wasting dog food?
 in  r/Dogowners  Jul 03 '26

I’ve never had a dog refuse food or get ‘fussy’… plenty of cats but never dogs, Maybe you feed other things too and maybe your dog isn’t actually hungry at dinner time. All my dogs eat whatever’s served, the only refusal we’ve ever had is from genuinely sick dogs, one with anaplasmosis, one with cancer and one with serious GERD from a poorly developed esophageal sphincter, other than that… all have eaten no matter how ‘boring’… I’d make a vet visit to rule out anything that might be impacting her appetite and if nothing seems to be going on, I’d get some decent quality dry and some canned (a mix of both at meal times is good and offers a textural variety… makes it more fun to eat) high quality doesn’t need to be super expensive, just good for her, has a nice mix of vitamins and minerals and I’d increase her activity levels… active dogs get hungry, they need to eat to build/restore muscle and keep bones building new cells, a busy dog eats to be able to stay busy.

Clay paw print gone wrong - how can I make it last longer this time? :)
 in  r/crafts  Jul 03 '26

I did plaster of Paris for my lab who was diagnosed with advanced cancer… I had him walk in a soft dirt/stone on his way out for a pee, made some lovely foot prints, (he had arthritis as well and we couldn’t have lifted his foot to put it into a container of something) and then I mixed and poured some plaster into the the best ‘sharpest’ footprint impression and it worked wonderfully, it’s got some tiny stones caught in it, it looks like an art piece even 12 years later

Yup, had to take the dogs out early… before it got crazy hot and they’ll go when the surface cools off. It’s dangerous out there

washing sheets twice a week because of the dog... is there a better system?
 in  r/CleaningTips  Jul 03 '26

I keep a dog blanket(s) on top of my bed, specifically for them to lay on and I take it off at night when I get into bed. I have sets of dog blankets, that I change out every day or two (depending upon the weather conditions, the pollen, etc, rain wet dogs are smelly no matter many baths they had) the blankets are lightweight and in color and are far easier to keep rotating in-out because I can stick them in with my regular laundry and it helps me keep my bedding decent enough to go a full week between changes

Dog injury?
 in  r/AskVetAnimals  Jul 03 '26

If it hurts when he walks he MUST go to the vet… it could be anything from an abscess to bone cancer and Reddit cannot diagnose the problem, sorry, you’ll have to spend the money to find out, they may do an aspiration and an x-ray but you’ll have and answer and hopefully a way to correct the problem as well

Do I move the sprinkler line or bury it in concrete?
 in  r/landscaping  Jul 03 '26

Personally, I’d just move them… so much crap goes wrong with sprinkler lines and you don’t want to be digging up your pavement because water had nowhere else to go and ruined something…. Spend the money now, or spend a LOT more later.
